Today’s a random Saturday where I wanted to check out a shop. Shopping anyone?
My day started im Daikanyama, which I’ve been blogging about in the recent months. Today marks the last day of my therapy session. I started attending this on the last Saturday of August and at that time, it was discovered that I had inflammation in my left foot. It made walking so hard for me, and every time I do, my foot would swell. Hard times.
Now, I haven’t fully recovered yet but I’m getting there. There’s still a little left, but now it’s tolerable than before. While my session already ended, I’ll still have to continue doing the routines at home. I hope I won’t forget though. I want to be fully healed before my trip next month.
So after my session, I traveled 1.5 hours by train to south of Tokyo, another prefecture. It was in Yokohama, a city in Kanagawa Prefecture. It’s pretty famous too. Have you heard of the big gundam or the red brick house or the chinatown? That’s all in Yokohama.
However I came here not for those but for a different reason. I came here because I heard there’s an outlet mall here. It’s time for shopping!
My post though isn’t about shopping. That will be for another day (if I don’t get lazy). Today, I’ll just be sharing photos I took while walking from the station to the shopping mall.
This is Yokohama Bayside.
If I’m not mistaken, the train I just took was a monorail. This was the train, and I’m already outside the station. If you look up, you’ll see it.
Later on I found kids practicing. They were a sight to watch. I suddenly remembered the time when I was still living in Osaka. There was a park near the river where kids would be practicing on a Saturday afternoon. As my house was near the river, I’d hang out there and pass time watching the kids. They’re very passionate and hardworking, like these kids I saw today in a small park just across the station.
Did I mention I was walking on a big overpass? It was connected from outside the train station, to the marina, and to another road. There were no pedestrian lanes, you have to use this skywalk. I thought I was lost because there were no maps posted, but I trusted my gut and followed the skywalk til I got to the marina.
This was the end of the skywalk and now I could see a lot of yachts. I always wanted to ride in one!
Anyways I reached the mall without getting lost and roamed a lot. Hence, a lot of step count today which I’m happy because I’ve not been walking a lot lately. It’s cold and the house is warm, it doesn’t want me to go out and face winter.
After shopping, we wanted to relax and chill before heading home.
Got their seasonal drink - a special mocha drink paired with a white mocha cake. Best pair!
Anyways that’s all - happy I got to double my rings today!
