Coffee... coffee... coffee... it is important that you know good places to get your fix! There is nothing worse than hitting the early afternoon, wandering into an espresso bar... and having a terrible coffee!... in fact, if that happens, you might as well drink tea!

Satisfaction is a nice little esspresso place that has a bit of a retro vibe about it that opened up recently in an area that I happen to frequent quite a bit. I only recently found myself brave enough to step inside and try it out when my usual cafe was closed!

The Space

The inside is quite nicely decorated... with a sort of hippie artistic style to it... lots of bright colours and simple furniture. There is a real record player in the corner, through which they pipe some pretty cool old school jazz music as well!

The seating area is very well lit with natural light from the large open windows. The cafe sits on the corner of the street, and thus has two very large walls that are mostly windows... lots of bright natural light!

The Menu

Satisfaction offers a light lunch menu in addition to coffee and cakes... however, for this particular day, we were definitely here for a caffeinne and cake fix! The cakes are of varying styles each day... so, it is easiest to just go up to the counter and point out what you want to treat yourself to!

The Food

Well... the true test of a cafe! The cappucino was really very good! You could tell that the barista was taking his job pretty seriously... and the quality of the coffee definitely proved that! I will be back again!

There was a kids option... I'm not yet ready to feed my toddler coffee... however, the hot chocolate that she often gets... she calls it coffee as well! In this case, it was melted real chocolate in warm milk... and it was a big hit... however, it was HUGE!

Carrot cake for the side treat... I have to say, I was a little less impressed by the cake... After the coffee, I would have expected something better... it wasn't terrible, but just not quite the same!

The Experience

I'm glad that I stepped in and tried the place out! It is a great little place with a great atmosphere... unfortunately, it was really quite empty... I'm not sure if that was normal or if it was just the time of day... or the fact that it is relatively new and the street is filled with competing cafes!

The staff were really friendly (even if my daughter was shy to point of almost being rude...), and the coffee was really great as well.... so, I'm happy to add this to my little list of places where I know that I can stop off and get a good coffee... always, useful!
