A perfect weekend getaway trip is Caripe, and we decided to go there for two days, there is a lot of thigs to do, besides, there is a low tech ambient without cell phones, internet and all this kind of distractions. A really nice weather, delicious hot cocoa, and very friendly people = perfect combination right?
After a few hours we were already in Caripe, I like a nice hostal in Sabana Larga called Posada Las Rosas, its owners (Rosa, Rosa and Victoria) are very kind, friendly, 3 generations running this hostal, a former coffe farm.
Very close to Sabana Larga is the famous San Agustín Church or Ivy Churh. This particular and gorgeous church is located in San Agustín Parrish, Monagas, Venezuela. I will write some tips and facts about it.

Un escape de fin de semana perfecto es un viaje a Caripe, así que decidimos ir alla por dos días, ademas su ambiente de baja tecnología nos permite desconectarnos de los celulares, el internet y todas esas cosas. ¿Un clima divino, delicioso chocolate caliente y gente amigable = son una combinción perfecta verdad?
Después de varias horas de viaje ya estabamos en Caripe, a mi particularmente me gusta la Posada Las Rosas, una antigua hacienda cafetera atendida por trers generaciones de mujeres amables y amigables, Rosa, Rosa y Victoria.
Muy cerca de Sabana Larga se encuentra la famosa Iglesia de San Agustín o la Iglesia de Hiedra. Esta particular y hermosa iglesia está localizada en la Parroquia San Agustín, Monagas, Venezuela. Escribiré algunos tips y hechos sobre ella.

This church´s name, San Agustin, was the name of a farm where the church is now, and this farm was founded many years ago and gradually become in a small +4000 habs town, with temperatures aroun 20°C.
The church was founded on August 28th,1972.
San Agsustín Church or also know as "Ivy Church" is located exactly in the crossroads of the road to Caripe, the road to"La Cueva El Guacharo" ("El Guacharo Cave") and the road to Sabana Larga
In San Agustin there many hostals, food stores, coffe shops and nursery gardens, there are some touristic hikking places like "Chorroron", a very beautifull fall in the area.
There is very limited phone and internet conectivity in this area.
The hostals are very unique and the range of prices is very wide.
Esta Iglesia se encuentra en San Agustín, El nombre de San Agustín viene del nombre original de la hacienda donde hoy esta este pequeño y agradable pueblo con un poco más de 4000 habitantes, y cuya temperatura promedia los 20°C..
La Iglesia fue fundada el 28 de agosto de 1972.
La Iglesia de San Agustín o la Iglesia de hiedra como también se le conoce se encuentra justamente en el cruce de las vías que van a Caripe, a "La Cueva El Guácharo" y a Sabana Larga.
En San Agustín hay muchas posadas, ventas de comida, cafés y viveros, además es el punto de partida para varios sitios turísticos hermosos como "Chorrerón" una cascada a la que se llega caminando.
Hay muy poca conectividad del servicio telefónico y a internet en el área.
Las posadas son muy pintorescas y su precio varia grandemente.
