After 10 days of the insane level of work, I finally got the opportunity to sit down, relax and chill. Tomorrow is my day off and fortunately, it is Saturday, the weekend. I often work weekends and usually get the day off on weekdays. I guess I am lucky this week. So, why not I post something nice and share a piece of my experience in the Netherlands, Almere?

It's been over a week since the Hivefest ended and still feels like yesterday I attended Hivefest. So many amazing posts and experiences that are shared on Hive make me feel like I was at Hivefest yesterday. After Hivefest, I got one day off and then I get back to work. After 10 days, finally, I got the day off. It is feeling like a celebration to me...

I have been better. After meeting so many Hive people, I was feeling good and was focused on my shitty job though still I have a lot of complaints about the work I do. All I can say, dealing with the refugees is a very hard job. It is beyond my expectations and every day I experience the unusual lifestyle of different people. I see their pain, their attitude, and moreover their frustration.

Anyway, let's get back to the main attraction and key point of the post. Last month, after getting my salary, I wanted to go to a restaurant to have some good food. It was a weekday so after my shift, I went to Almere city center in search of a nice restaurant to spend some quality time and to relax a little bit. There are many nice restaurants located in Almere Centrum. There is a location called Belfort near the Citadel of Almere Centrum where all the nice restaurants are located together. I went there because someone told me about the location. But the person didn't tell me which time I should go and without knowing what was waiting for me, I left the room in search of a good meal. It was lunch hour but unfortunately, restaurants in the Belfort area open their business around 3.00 pm. The reason is their target customers are those who want to have dinner. So, after reaching there I saw most of the restaurants are closed and they will open at 3.00 pm (15.00).

After waiting there for some time, I found an Asian restaurant called "Kimono". From outside as nobody was around, I thought the restaurant was closed but the restaurant was open at that moment. It was warm weather so I decided to sit outside.

A waiter with a smile came and asked me to do I wanted to prefer sitting outside or not. My answer was simple, yes and later he come up with a menu. Of course, I love Asian food so, without any further thoughts, I started looking at the menu.

Kimono is basically Sushi Restaurant but they sell Ramen and other dishes as well.

My order was simple, Veg Gyoza, Beef Sizzler, Veg Spring Rolls, and Ramen with Beef. Hold on, I don't eat that much but when it comes to eating Asian Foods, I can't stop eating.

After 15 minutes, the waiter came holding almost all the dishes. Additionally, they served extra chili flakes as well as sweet and sour sauce.

Veg Gyoza was amazing, melted in my mouth, so tasty and delicious. The spring rolls were, as usual, sweet and sour chili gave extra punch. The beef Sizzler was hot and spicy and really enjoyed it.

But the showstopper was the ramen. I wrote before that I love ramen and in Ukraine, I have tasted the best ramen. So, I like very specific ramen which is called Tonkotsu ramen but with Beef. I don't eat pork that's why I think I don't get the authentic flavor of "Tonkotsu".

The ramen broth was delicious and full of flavor. The sliced beef was juicy and tender and the egg was perfect. I took extra chili flakes in my ramen so it was spicy; just the way I like it.

After a long time, really I enjoyed such kind of food because usually now I only eat bread, tuna, sauce, potato, butter, etc.

As an Asian girl, it is sometimes hard for me to adjust to different food menus, but I can survive on any food as long as the food is eatable.

After finishing my lunch, I went inside the restaurant. The dining area is big and they had a bar section as well. Pretty decent and traditional Asian-style restaurant and very neat and clean. Love the interior and the color composition of the restaurant.

I tried to take some nice photos. But there was no one except me, the waiters, and the cook. I wonder how they are doing their business in such an expensive city. Still couldn't figure it out...

The total cost was 30 euros for 4 dishes and a drink. Well, I ate a lot and enjoyed it that's why I didn't care about the money but it is expensive. Asian restaurants in my opinion are always expensive because of the food quality. For me, 30 euros is a lot for lunch but it was okay. I needed good food and in my opinion, I am earning for my survival and sometimes good food is necessary. Refugees like me can't think about spending 30 euros for lunch in a day but it was fine because it was necessary for me.

I can spoil myself for a day...

Thank you so much for reading...
