Trying to recall the last time we had dined at The Buzzz Cafe but I couldn't remember, I am glad my husband brought me here last week when we were traveling back to Tagbilaran City. This branch however is not new to me, this is located in Jagna Business Center just opposite the town's Calamay landmark.
I was surprised that there were many diners around. I am happy that we have a nearby branch here because we buy honey from them and I had never liked any other honey brand except that from Bohol Bee Farm.
As soon as we got in, we checked the menu for what we will have for lunch. We were not yet hungry though but since we were traveling with a toddler, we have to eat something or else, we will get hungry while on the road. I spotted Puto Maya and it is paired with their signature hot chocolate. I was intrigued so I decided to get that. Then I also choose their Baked Salmon with garlic pasta! I asked the staff if the serving would be good for two and they said yes so I told my husband, we will just share. He agreed.
It didn't take long for our orders to arrive. But first, we were served with a complimentary squash bread paired with their mango and pesto spread. My little one was very excited to see the puto maya because it has a heart-shaped mango on top. I was a little disappointed that the puto maya was just one serving. This pair is priced at Php 190 or 7.6 hive so I was really expecting it to be a good amount of serving. Nonetheless, I love the thickness of the hot chocolate. It was not too sweet too and the puto maya was certainly good!
But as soon as the baked salmon was served, I got a big smile because the salmon was big! The garlic pasta had a generous amount too and there was a green salad that came with it. I guess that was my first time trying out salmon in Bohol! I was really happy!
Our tummy got really full! We thought we won't get stuffed but, it was the opposite. My little one requested for icecream too! He super loved their cone which is called kabkab made from cassava, a root crop. This was really crunchy and Matti loves anything that is crunchy. And so he finished the cone faster! The icecream was transferred instead to a paper cup!
I am happy to see many customers come and go. I guess we spent a few more minutes as I was editing some photos. The good thing about the restaurant as well is that they have a good homey ambiance. They have their chill music playing at the background too! I still highly recommend The Buzzz Cafe to everyone!
