In the capital of Cuba, Havana, there are fifteen municipalities, but only a few concentrate the majority of the hotels, especially those located in the northern area of the city. These are Plaza, Old Havana, and Playa. In my opinion, the latter is where most hotels have been built in a relatively small space, in the segment that goes from 86th Street to 70th Avenue.
In just a few blocks we can find a whole amalgam of styles, with well-differentiated architectures and several hotels ranging from the most traditional and old to the most recent, luxurious, and modern, which makes this area a striking space full of contrasts.
This route extends along 3rd Street, although it is not the only avenue where hotels are concentrated. Among the oldest and simplest here are the Neptuno–Tritón complex, two buildings very close to each other. Both with a quite similar design, although the first to be built was the Tritón, and several years later, right next to it, the Neptuno was erected. Two very similar buildings that are part of the same architectural ensemble.
There is also the Cubanacán Comodoro Hotel, located within a commercial complex with a varied number of shops and cafeterias, where diverse services are offered and varied options can be found.
Right next door, between the Tritón and the Comodoro, is the Meliá Habana. This is one of the most modern, with a 5 category, and it is located in front of the office buildings of the Miramar Business Center, in one of the most central and busiest spaces in the surroundings.
If we walk several blocks toward 70th Avenue, where there is a beautiful seaside promenade very close to the coast, we arrive at the Aston Panorama Hotel, with 4⭐ . This is a hotel that I like very much since it stands out for its peculiar design, almost completely covered with dark glass. For a long time, it was the only hotel on the busy corner of 3rd and 70 until the construction began of the two hotels that today dominate the prominence of the area.
With a 5 ⭐ category and relatively recent construction, two luxurious hotels rise: the Gran Muthu Habana and the Gran Muthu Habana Tower Mirador del Caribe. Both stand out from the rest for their modern design, their elegance, and, of course, for being the tallest points in the surroundings, which gives them an imposing presence facing the sea and to everyone who passes through the place.
What all these hotels have in common, besides their closeness to each other and being located in one of the busiest sites of Miramar, Playa, is their privileged location facing the sea, which gives them a special appeal along with the beautiful turquoise-blue waters of our coasts.
All this hotel complex in the northern strip of Havana is also a reflection of the architectural and tourist evolution of the city over the course of the years.

En la capital de Cuba, La Habana, existen quince municipios, pero solo unos pocos concentran la mayoría de los hoteles, sobre todo aquellos que se encuentran en la zona norte de la ciudad. Estos son Plaza, Habana Vieja y Playa. A mi parecer este último es donde más hoteles se han construido en un espacio relativamente pequeño, en el segmento que va desde la calle 86 hasta la avenida 70.
En apenas unas pocas cuadras podemos encontrar toda una amalgama de estilos, con arquitecturas bien diferenciadas y varios hoteles que van desde los más tradicionales y antiguos hasta los más recientes, lujosos y modernos, lo que convierte a esta zona en un espacio vistoso y lleno de contrastes.
Este recorrido se extiende a lo largo de la calle 3ra, aunque no es la única avenida donde se concentran los hoteles. Entre los más antiguos y sencillos que hay aquí se encuentran el complejo Neptuno–Tritón, dos edificaciones muy próximas una a la otra. Ambas con un diseño bastante similar, aunque el primero en construirse fue el Tritón y varios años después, justo al lado, se levantó el Neptuno. Dos edificaciones muy similares que forman parte de un mismo conjunto arquitectónico.
También está el Hotel Cubanacán Comodoro, ubicado dentro de un complejo comercial con una variada cantidad de tiendas y cafeterías, donde se ofrece un servicio diverso y se pueden encontrar variadas ofertas.
Justo al lado, entre el Tritón y el Comodoro, está el Meliá Habana, este es uno de los más modernos, con categoría de 5 ⭐ , y está situado frente a los edificios de oficinas del Centro de Negocios de Miramar, en uno de los espacios más céntricos y concurridos de los alrededores.
Si caminamos varias cuadras en dirección a la avenida 70, donde se encuentra un hermoso paseo marítimo y muy cercano a la costa, llegamos al Hotel Aston Panorama, de 4 ⭐ . Este es un hotel que a mi me gusta mucho ya que destaca por su diseño peculiar, casi completamente cubierto de cristales oscuros. Durante mucho tiempo fue el único hotel en la céntrica esquina de 3ra y 70 hasta que comenzaron las construcciones de los dos hoteles que hoy dominan el protagonismo de la zona.
Con categoría de 5 ⭐ y de construcción relativamente reciente, se levantan dos lujosos hoteles, el Gran Muthu Habana y el Gran Muthu Habana Tower Mirador del Caribe. Ambos se distinguen del resto por su diseño moderno, su elegancia y, por supuesto, por ser los puntos más altos de los alrededores, lo que les otorga una presencia imponente frente al mar y a todo el que recorra el lugar.
Lo común en todos estos hoteles, además de su cercanía unos con otros y de encontrarse en uno de los sitios más concurridos de Miramar, Playa, es su privilegiada ubicación frente al mar, lo que les brinda un atractivo especial junto a las bellas aguas azul turquesa de nuestras costas.
Todo este conjunto hotelero en la franja norte de La Habana es también el reflejo de la evolución arquitectónica y turística de la ciudad en el curso de los años.
