Old Havana is a very popular tourist destination in Cuba, thanks to its beauty, antiquity and its rich culture and history, foreign visitors, above all, are often looking for a souvenir of their visit to the city. Fortunately in Havana there are many places where you can find souvenirs, handicrafts and art pieces made by Cuban artists, unique and authentic products that represent the identity of Cuba and are a reflection of the way of life of its inhabitants. Walking through the streets of Old Havana you will find exhibitions of local art on many of its corners. In many of its streets we find establishments and shops, including private homes, that exhibit and sell handicrafts, crafts, paintings and drawings. Through colourful images the artists capture scenes of daily life, tropical landscapes and portraits that reflect our Cuban identity. Although the art in this place covers much more, in Havana, we also find other popular manifestations such as music and dance. These days it is very common to see street musicians with their musical instruments giving us the gift of their talent or dancers on big stilts accompanying themselves with drums to go at a dancing pace filling the streets with joy and happiness.
It is for all these reasons that for me a walk through Old Havana is an unforgettable experience where every step reveals a new detail and every street surprises me with a representation of art that invites you to discover the beauty and diversity of this city that, despite the passage of time, continues to be charming and beautiful.

La Habana Vieja es un destino turístico muy popular en Cuba, gracias a su belleza, antigüedad y su rica cultura e historia, los visitantes extranjeros, sobre todo, a menudo buscan llevarse un recuerdo de su visita a la ciudad. Afortunadamente en La Habana hay muchos lugares donde pueden encontrar suvenires, artesanías y piezas de arte realizadas por artistas cubanos, productos únicos y auténticos que representan la identidad de Cuba y son un reflejo del modo de vida de sus habitantes. Lindos recuerdos de su estancia en la ciudad.
Recorrer las calles de La Habana Vieja es encontrarse en muchas de sus esquinas con exhibiciones de arte local. En muchas de sus calles encontramos establecimientos y comercios, incluyendo casas particulares, que exhiben y venden artesanías, manualidades, pinturas y dibujos. A través de imágenes llenas de color los artistas capturan escenas de la vida diaria, paisajes tropicales y retratos que reflejan nuestra cubanía. Las pinturas incluso adornan las paredes y muros de las viviendas de la zona donde los grafitis y murales son muy comunes.
Todo esto se debe a la rica herencia cultural del pueblo cubano. Además, el ambiente de La Habana Vieja es muy inspirador e invita a que sea recreado e inmortalizado, y qué mejor manera que desde la expresión artística. Sumado a que este lugar siempre ha sido un centro de actividad comercial lo que hace que en aquí se vean muchos espacios donde se promueve el arte y se vendan artículos artesanales.
Aunque el arte en este lugar abarca mucho más, en La Habana, encontramos también otras manifestaciones populares como la música o el baile. En estos tiempos es muy común ver músicos callejeros con sus instrumentos musicales que nos regalan su talento o bailarines en grandes zancos acompañándose con tambores para ir andando a paso de baile llenando las calles de algarabía y alegría.
Es por todas estas razones que para mí un paseo por La Habana Vieja es una experiencia inolvidable donde cada paso revela un nuevo detalle y cada calle me sorprende con una representación de arte que invita a descubrir la belleza y la diversidad de esta ciudad que, a pesar del paso del tiempo sigue siendo encantadora y hermosa.
