Mountain serpentine to Delphi
The road from Kamena Varla to Delphi passes through the mountains along a beautiful pass along the E65 highway.
To say that along the road you can observe beautiful views means to say nothing.
The road leads along a serpentine. Views of the valleys between the mountains. Everything around is green and blooming. Smells of nature intoxicate consciousness.
The road itself is of excellent quality. There are no traffic problems. For pleasure and for more information about the place we are heading to, I have included the audio book Myths of Ancient Greece. Such a reading created a more effective perception of reality.
The road takes only two hours, and several times we stopped in different places to get out of the car and look at the mountains or other beautiful places.
By the way, I must say that moving through the mountains we were on the slopes of a mountain range called Parnassus. This name is known in world history. This mountain was considered the sacred mountain of Apollo and also the habitat of the muses. In world culture, Parnassus was considered a symbol of cultural and art figures. Parnassus is most often associated with poets.
Surprisingly, everything in Greece is connected with history. One has only to look at some mountain - and this, it suddenly turns out to be Olympus or Parnassus.
Moving along the serpentine, we passed rocks with waterfalls. It turned out that there are a lot of healing mineral springs in the mountains. In addition, in these mountains is a large national park. This nature reserve was established in 1938.
In addition, there is also a ski resort.
In a word, Greece has it all.
