🌱🐕😴 20 kg di semi e una regina addormentata: si prepara il Giardino dell'Eden

Ieri è stata una di quelle meravigliose domeniche "lavorative": sole, cani, galline, un tavolo con una storia, un pollaio che cresce e 20 chili di semi in attesa del loro grande momento. Andiamo con ordine. 👇

🐔 Apertura del pollaio: la routine quotidiana

La giornata è iniziata con il solito rituale: aprire il pollaio perché le nostre sei galline possano correre felici per il Giardino dell'Eden. Escono come una squadra di commando in missione: testa alta, passo svelto e un piano chiaro (il mio: salvare le verdure; il loro: il contrario). 😄

🌫️☀️ Meno nebbia del solito... e poi un sole spettacolare

La mattina c'era meno nebbia del solito: solo qualche velo bianco adagiato nelle valli tra le colline.

Poi è arrivato il sole, e che sole: un cielo blu spettacolare e una luce dorata sui campi. ☀️

🐕🐾 Passeggiata mattutina con @bdog e @choko.shock

Una breve passeggiata mattutina con la squadra di sempre: la nostra elegante @bdog (15 anni, e non un giorno meno dignitosa) e la bomba di energia @choko.shock.

Durante la camminata abbiamo ammirato le gocce di rugiada sulle ragnatele: una gioielleria naturale, aperta prima dell'alba e gratuita. 💎🕸️

E qualche fiore stupendo, ancora in fiore a ottobre (sì, quella è Ca' Paradiso avvolta dai fiori gialli):

Oggi @crmilazz mi ha dato un aiuto enorme con le pulizie profonde, mettendo tutto in ordine sia in cucina sia nella mia camera da letto. 🙏 Grazie davvero per tutto l'aiuto e per la tua piacevolissima presenza a Ca' Paradiso: la casa non è mai stata così in ordine, ed è molto più bella con te. 💛

🪵 Un tavolo pieno di ricordi

Insieme abbiamo anche dato una mano di olio color giallo paglierino al bellissimo tavolo di legno sotto il portico. È un ricordo della mia famiglia d'origine, un pezzo di legno che ha visto tante cene e che ora brilla di nuovo, pronto per molte altre.

🐔🏗️ Il pollaio mobile: quasi finito

Con l'aiuto di @crmilazz abbiamo anche completato il pollaio mobile. Quasi, a dire il vero: manca un pezzo di rete, quindi abbiamo improvvisato coprendo il tetto con una lamiera ondulata. Soluzione molto italiana: se non puoi farlo alla perfezione, fallo con efficacia. 😅 Le galline mi faranno sicuramente sapere cosa ne pensano.

🌾 Al tramonto: preparo la semina del Giardino dell'Eden

Dopo il tramonto ho preparato tutto per la semina a spaglio nell'ettaro che diventerà il futuro Giardino dell'Eden ampliato: 20 kg di semi biologici da sovescio (un miscuglio di colture di copertura).

I semi verranno attivati due giorni prima della semina, prevista per giovedì in base alle previsioni del tempo: staranno a bagno in una grande vasca d'acqua, pronti a svegliarsi.

Mentre giocava nell'erba al crepuscolo, anche @choko.shock ha trovato qualcosa di importante da fare: esaminare due palline spinose, con la serietà di un ispettore della qualità.

😴 La regina addormentata del Giardino dell'Eden

E ora la vera capa della giornata: @bdog. A 15 anni può fare ciò che vuole, e quello che voleva erano diversi pisolini in pieno Giardino dell'Eden. 👑

Qualcuno deve pur supervisionare il futuro frutteto, e lei prende il lavoro molto sul serio (in posizione orizzontale, all'ombra). 😂

Ecco ieri: pollaio, nebbia, sole, passeggiate, un tavolo pieno di ricordi, 20 kg di semi e mille piccoli lavori. Una giornata molto "Eden". 🌿

Yesterday was one of those wonderful "working" Sundays: sun, dogs, hens, a table with a story, a coop that grows and 20 kilos of seeds waiting for their big moment. Let's go through it, in order. 👇

🐔 Opening the coop: the daily routine

The day started with the usual ritual: opening the coop so that our six hens can run happily around the Garden of Eden. They exit like a squad of commandos on a mission: heads high, pace fast, and a clear plan (mine: save the vegetables; theirs: the opposite). 😄

🌫️☀️ Less fog than usual... and then a spectacular sun

The morning had less fog than usual: just a few white veils lying in the valleys between the hills.

And then the sun took over, and what a sun: a spectacular blue sky and a golden light over the fields. ☀️

🐕🐾 Morning walk with @bdog and @choko.shock

A short morning walk with the usual team: our elegant @bdog (15 years old, and not one day less dignified) and the energy bomb @choko.shock.

During the walk we admired the dew drops on the spider webs: a natural jewellery shop, open before sunrise and free of charge. 💎🕸️

Today @crmilazz gave me a huge help with the deep cleaning, putting everything in order both in the kitchen and in my bedroom. 🙏 Thank you, truly, for all the help and for your lovely presence at Ca' Paradiso: the house has never been so tidy, and it is much nicer with you here. 💛

🪵 A table full of memories

Together we also gave a straw-yellow oil treatment to the beautiful wooden table under the porch. It's a memory of my family of origin, a piece of wood that has seen many dinners, and now shines again, ready for many more.

🐔🏗️ The mobile coop: almost done

With the help of @crmilazz we also completed the mobile coop. Almost, to be honest: a piece of net is missing, so we improvised by covering the roof with a corrugated sheet. Very Italian solution: if you can't do it perfectly, do it effectively. 😅 The hens will surely tell me what they think.

🌾 Sunset: preparing the sowing of the Garden of Eden

After sunset I prepared everything for the broadcast sowing in the hectare that will become the future, enlarged Garden of Eden: 20 kg of organic green manure seeds (a mix of cover crops).

The seeds will be activated two days before the sowing, which is planned for Thursday, given the weather forecast: they will soak in a big basin of water, ready to wake up.

Playing in the grass at dusk, as the sun goes down, @choko.shock too found something important to do: examine two spiky balls, with the seriousness of a quality inspector.

😴 The napping queen of the Garden of Eden

And now the real boss of the day: @bdog. At 15 years old she is allowed to do what she wants, and what she wanted was several naps right in the middle of the Garden of Eden. 👑

Somebody has to supervise the future orchard, and she takes the job very seriously (from a horizontal position, in the shade). 😂

So that was yesterday: coop, fog, sun, walks, a table full of memories, 20 kg of seeds and a thousand little jobs. A very "Eden" kind of day. 🌿
