Hello steemians and travellers!

The previous post under this series is about Arterra Bayfront Residences where we had an outing once with my colleagues in my company. If you haven't checked it out yet, you can find it here:

This time, it was another yield outing with my colleagues, but in a different resort. This is one of the reasons why I love my work. So I guess you know by now it's kind of a love-hate relationship that I have with my work. Anyway, this is sort of a throwback on one of our outings and team building activities.

This post is more of a review and my impressions of the place. Although this is a throwback, I haven't shared it yet anywhere so it's good to reminisce the days that we were able to travel without restrictions. It's something to look forward to when this quarantine is over. So, I'm talking about Alta Cebu Village Resort and Convention Center.

ALTA CEBU VILLAGE RESORT AND CONVENTION CENTER
Low-Key Garden Resort

Alta Cebu Village Resort and Convention Center is a low-key garden resort that is located beside a river bordering Lapu-Lapu City and Cordova, Cebu. It's just a few kilometers away from picturesque beaches and wonderful dive sites in Mactan Reef Flat.

Alta Cebu Village Resort is surrounded by Polynesian inspired motifs and decorations which is a great backdrop for summer photos.

I would say that one of the main selling points of the resort is its flexibility to cater a wide range of events and functions. They have 55 guestrooms, 2 outdoor pools (as shown in the photos), children's pool, restaurant and bar/lounge, full-service spa, and even childcare services.

Aren't they lovely?

I also love the overall aesthetics of the place. It's colorful and the summer vibe is undeniable, but the whole estate is surrounded by trees so it's relatively cooler than the surrounding areas.

Aside from the main function hall, which is in gazebo style, there are numerous places that are ideal for small gatherings. They have an area for zumba and other outdoor activities. They also have a billiards and entertainment center. The resort lives up to its low-key design and function since those functional spaces mentioned are connected and integrated into one big labyrinthine style estate.

At the back of the resort, there's a bridge that connects the resort to the sea. It's arching over houses and mangroves, but you have to explore the whole resort in order to find it.

If you're not a fan of exploring, I bet the front area would suffice. If you're into instagram and other conventional social media, taking a photo near the main pool is a must. Sunbathing is also ideal; you know the Philippines, it's almost sunny everyday throughout the whole year.

As for me, the resort was a great place for me to practice my photography skills (if I have one). There are a lot of subjects and compositions to choose from.

I guess that's all for this post, see you on the next one!
