Surprisingly, Hue offers a decent nightlife scene. Even in the quieter month of December, downtown bars and restaurants are quite busy on weekend evenings. The night walking Vo Thi Sau Street and the alleys around it are fun at that time. Moreover, you can walk there without feeling disturbed by bars' promoters like in Bui Vien Street in Saigon.

The area feels not that large but vibrant even in winter so you'll easily find a crowded place full of excitement like this:

Or like this:

A popular place behind plastic curtains.

I noticed the man with the umbrella, approaching the bar, and pushed the button right at the moment when the girl entered the frame. She was leaving me after her failed attempt to seduce me by stroking my arm. Thus, I got three layers (the girl, the man, the bar), two relationships (expressed by the eyes of two people), and a mob of people in the background.

Traditions of the West and the East meet each other in downtown of Hue:

December 14 was a full moon, a unique day when Christmas vibes meet the full-moon offerings, Cung Ram. In the image: two men are burning ritual money to please the deceased in another world.

Don't you feel this guy is puking with fire? It is kinda true. He appeared in this dark street near people who weren't interested in any show and even could hardly see him. He poured some fuel into his mouth and tried to see if there were any passers-by nearby whom he could accidentally burn. And then, apparently no longer able to bear fuel in his mouth, he decided to vomit fire upwards. I took this image and hurried away. Hope somebody paid for this self-torture.

Less busy part of the downtown but still with great nightlife vibes.

Another bar-like place with elegant "sails" defending people from precipitation.

Guess, this colorful restaurant might be quite busy when the peak season comes.

The further from Vo Thi Sau Street, the less people you meet at night.

Deserted streets however feel nice and safe.

More Christmas characters:

Snowmen-boomers. They don't seem funny anymore but they have already earned for an apartment in the center of Lapland City. They will be fine.

Santa. After a hard day of selling Coca-Cola from a truck, he devotes himself to his hobby, lol. (The exterior of a shop actually).

Returning back to my homestay in An Cuu district, passing my favorite lone house behind the fence:

I often photograph it. At that time, the view was supplemented with the house's reflection in a large puddle. There were 48 hours of precipitation before the walk, I couldn't believe I was outside for a couple of hours and didn't get wet. What luck for December!
