I have a very favorite memory from this summer, when my friends and I hiked the Rila Mountains.

It is at 2226.8 m above sea level and it is from the Fish Lakes and more precisely from the Upper Fish Lake.

Arriving from a nearly 8-hour trek starting from the Macedonia hut, we passed through the Fish Lakes. I marked the place and thought that after settling in the hut, I would come back and look at it in more detail. So I did.

The shape of Upper Fish Lake is oblong. Its southern part is narrower and shallower and the northern part is wider and deeper.

From the information board I learn that the lake is fed on all sides by 30 small streams, most of which dry up at the end of summer.

QuoteIts area is 176-180 decares, and its maximum depth is 9 m.

I headed for the concrete spillway. Around him it overflowed with beautiful plants.

I walked on the concrete shooting with the 360 camera, I wanted to see how this beautiful place would look from different angles.

If I didn't take my eyes off the water, I could see the fish jumping high.

Frogs could be seen around the shore.

Water-crowfoot floated in the water with its beautiful white flowers, which blooms in the months of May to August.

I really liked this place! Soon my friends arrived and we stayed here until the sun went down, because after it went down, it became very cold.
