Burgas - Sozopol is one of my favorite cycling destinations. Before couple of weeks, with my friends, we decided went to Sozopol again, but for even more enjoyment of cycling and to have more diversity, we decided to cross the Copper Ridge.

We crossed gorgeous paths covered with autumn leaves.

We had a unique view on the road leading to the village Ravadinovo.

Sozopol is one of the oldest towns on Bulgarian Thrace's Black Sea coast. The first settlement on the site dates back to the Bronze Age.

The original name of the city is attested as Antheia but was soon renamed to Apollonia.

We arrived to Ancient Gate of Sozopol.

We entered through the cobblestone streets at the heart of the ancient city.

In central part of the Old town Sozopol are located remains of Medieval church.

After a pleasant rest, we went back to Burgas - at sunset.

The local people say about Sozopol that there is a hidden history under each stone. I could not show you everything from the ancient city, but I hope in another post to continue doing it 😃

That day I was cycling 79.3km.
