Sublime and Beautiful Sunday a few Historic buildings

This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

This week I decided what I felt fit into these tags are some historic buildings here in New Bedford. Sublime in that when I look at these historic buildings I cannot but help imagine what life was like back in the whaling days when New Bedford was one of, if not the richest city in the world, and how life was back then

Starting with the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in New Bedford, Massachusetts, which was built in 1890–1891. It was originally constructed to house the Trinitarian Congregational Church

This is one I had mixed feelings about being color or Black and white. For the color version, I left the cars in as they were, but in B&W I felt the cars seemed out of place, especially since I was going for a back in the day feel.

Next up, another view of the Crystal Ice building down at the port, I previously shared a photo of it from another angle and talked about its history

This building I see as I cross from the port into the historic district, which now houses the Cork Restaurant, the boiler window is for people to pick up take-out food, I believe

This is the New Bedford Institute for Savings building, a bank from back in the day, that was eventually taken over by one of the bigger Banks, but many locals here have fond memory of this bank where they opened their first bank account when they were young
