#1 Yellowstone National Park 2018 Collected | Longread w/ 25 Pics

To start today, @mdf-365 takes us to the first National Park created in the USA; Yellowstone National Park. The park is on a volcanic hotspot meaning there are several hot springs, including the beautiful Grand Prismatic Spring, that are worth seeing. The park's largest feature covering 36 square miles is Yellowstone Lake. Apart from the views, it is a good spot for viewing wildlife such as bison. Yellowstone Falls is another highlight that shouldn't be missed.

#2 Tarasp - a hidden gem in the Swiss Alps

Next, @delishtreats explores the mountain village of Tarasp, Switzerland, which has an interesting history. Originally part of the Habsburg reign, it couldn't afford to buy its freedom from the Austrians because of town's castle. It wasn't until 1803 that it became part of the Swiss Confederation. Today tourists can visit the castle and learn the history of its previous owners while enjoying the gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.

#3 The Daintree Rainforest

Finally, we head to the Daintree Rainforest in North Queensland, Australia with @tomatom. Getting there from Cairns involves a scenic journey along the coastal road. His first stop is Port Douglas to view some interesting rock formations. Then he moves further north to Cape Tribulation where the rainforest literally meets the Great Barrier Reef. If you're lucky you might see some crocodiles lying around but they are not the only danger. Beware of the world's most dangerous bird—the cassowary!
