Una caminata hacia el norte de La Victoria, Aragua – Venezuela / A walk to the north of La Victoria, Aragua - Venezuela

Con un grupo de amigos fuimos un sábado a hacer una caminata convocada por la alcaldía de la ciudad de La Victoria, en el estado Aragua, hacia una zona rural, donde nos encontramos con sembradíos, animales y un río.

With a group of friends we went on a Saturday to do a walk called by the mayor's office of the city of La Victoria, in Aragua state, to a rural area, where we found crops, animals and a river.

La ruta fue de 10 km y comenzó en el centro de la ciudad, en la Plaza Campo Elías, había bastante gente, antes de las 8:00 de la mañana llegamos hasta la Plaza de las Madres, casi al final de La Victoria vía San Mateo, donde hay un desvío hacia el sector Sarayauta.

The route was 10 km and began in the center of the city, in Campo Elías Square, there were quite a lot of people, before 8:00 in the morning we reached the Las Madres Square, almost at the end of La Victoria via San Mateo, where there is a detour to the Sarayauta sector.

Seguimos por allí por un camino de tierra y vimos que había unas parcelas con sembradíos y algunos animales pastando. La Victoria es un valle y está rodeada por varias montañas, tiene un bonito entorno natural.

We continued there along a dirt road and we saw that there were some fields with crops and some animals grazing. La Victoria is a valley and is surrounded by several mountains, it has a beautiful natural environment.

Después de atravesar esta parte el camino siguió por una vía asfaltada, algo que no me gustó mucho porque teníamos que tener cuidado con los vehículos que pasaban por allí de vez en cuando. Sin embargo, como nunca había estado por esa zona, me concentré en observar el lugar.

After crossing this part, the path continued along a paved road, something that I didn't like very much because we had to be careful with the vehicles that passed by from time to time. However, since I had never been to that area, I concentrated on observing the place.

Durante la ruta, que estaba demarcada con unos carteles pegados a varios árboles, pasamos por varios sectores como La Ceiba, Quebrada de Apa y La Gavilana, finalmente llegamos a la meta en Santa Rosalía, donde nos esperaba el río Macanillal y unos puestos de hidratación que había montado la alcaldía con frutas y agua para los participantes de la caminata.

During the route, which was demarcated with signs attached to several trees, we passed through various sectors such as La Ceiba, Quebrada de Apa and La Gavilana, finally we reached the finish line in Santa Rosalía, where The Macanillal River was waiting for us and some hydration stations that the mayor's office had set up with fruits and water for the participants of the walk.

Me hubiese dado un chapuzón porque hacía bastante calor, pero el agua del río estaba muy baja, así que sólo mojé mis manos y me refresqué la cara.

I would have taken a dip because it was quite hot, but the river water was very low, so I just wet my hands and refreshed my face.

Me gustó mucho este lugar, quería que la ruta fuera más larga jejeje, por allí vi varios cerros interesantes para subir, será en otra oportunidad.

I really liked this place, I wanted the route to be longer hahaha, over there I saw several interesting hills to climb, it will be another time.

Al regreso caminamos por la misma vía pero sólo unos 15 minutos hasta llegar a una parada de autobuses, esperamos un rato y nos montamos en uno que nos llevó de regreso a La Victoria.

On the way back, we walked along the same road but only about 15 minutes until we reached a bus stop, we waited a while and got on one that took us back to La Victoria.

Siempre digo que no hay que descartar ningún paseo en la naturaleza, todos te dan una buena oportunidad de despejar la mente y conocer paisajes nuevos.

I always say that you shouldn't rule out any walk in nature, they all give you a good opportunity to clear your mind and discover new landscapes.
