I have shared some of my Kaptai trip experiences with you. Kaptai has many locations. Not all locations can be shared at once. I will post one by one. I went to Rangamati in 2018. I went there to give the admission test. My younger uncle lives there. So Rangamati has been there for 7 days.
I visited every corner of Rangamati in these seven days. The bike was my uncle's, that's why it was beneficial. I have plenty of time for photography. So I was able to take many good short shots on the camera.
Kaptai is the only mountain lake in Bangladesh. It is the most beautiful district of Bangladesh. It is a one street city. Water surrounds the city. And the whole city is located on this road. In the middle of this body of water, on the sides, there are numerous small hills scattered. A trawler or water boat is required to explore the entire Kaptai Lake. I visited many spots by renting a water boat.
The sun and blue clouds are playing overhead. The sound of the calm lake flowing endlessly below.
This town is surrounded by mountains.
If you want to see this lovely place with your own eyes, you have to come to the Kaptai lake in Rangamati to see the vast water bodies and Megh Mallika with your own eyes.
We always love adventure travel. If that thrill is with nature, then there is no question.
We experienced such a thrilling journey from Kaptai BIWTA JT Ghat to Barkal.
You can go to Barkal by launching from BIWTA JT Ghat in front of Kaptai Barrage.
There is no alternative means road. The beauty of the mountain-forest natural springs on both sides of the vast water body of Kaptai Lake in Kharsrota Karnaphuli will mesmerize any tourist.
We went kayaking in the lake. This is another kind of fun. Our boat between the mountains on both sides, what a beautiful scene. In between, the wind started blowing, the sky darkened and it rained lightly.
Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere....
And sometimes, in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself.

After kayaking for an hour we went out to see Kaptai. Saw Kaptai Bazaar, National Park, Navy Picnic Spot, Kaptai Ghat, Kaptai Dam, Power Station and many more.
There is a neat feel to the whole kaptai. Its mountains, lakes are arranged as well as houses, roads, markets on the hill are all arranged. There are very few people, only a few shops It may seem that I am not in Bangladesh. Sometimes I thought that Nepal is like this Mountain people walk with baskets on their shoulders.
Then the trip to the lake began. The nature on both sides of the lake is mesmerizing. I took many pictures. After about an hour, I went to the dam and got off the boat. If you want to get off at any place on the way, you can get off.
Kaptai Dam, there we was disappointed because I thought I would go there and have lunch but the shop was closed on the occasion of Eid. So I had to be satisfied with chips and chanachur. I planned to buy fish. That didn't happen either because now fishing in the lake is stopped.
Then I boarded the boat again and went to the military restaurant on the other side. The name is probably LAKE PARADISE. Here the entry fee is 400 rupees. However, they could not provide food because they have to make a booking within 10:30 am. He told us that he could not give food to our group a couple of hours ago. So I canceled the entry and came back on the roof of the boat. But the lake trip was very nice, the sky was cloudy and not too hot. A great place for a day outing with the family.
This natural beauty is more of a feeling and realization than description. The hidden beauty of nature cannot be understood without seeing the beauty of the water kingdom on the way to Barkal. Cloudy mountains and vast bodies of water as far as the eye can see. And the sight of clouds and mountains does not want to end. The sight of fishermen fishing in small and big dinghy boats in Kaptai Lake, a fish sanctuary, will catch everyone's attention.
It is known from Banglapedia that in 1923 this upazila is on the banks of the Kharsrota river and the Karnaphuli river. In naming this upazila, like other upazilas or police stations, there are various types of myths or folklores. As there are many small and big mountain springs in this area, the sound of falling water could be heard from a distance. That's why the people living here thought it was the sound of a big machine. Since then it has been named Barkal.
If you want to go from Kaptai to this upazila or thana, the only reliable way is by sea. In that case you can reach Barkal within two to two and a half hours by launching from Rangamati Reserve Bazar.
The beautiful scenery on both sides of the launch will attract any tourist.
Several narrow channels will be seen on the way. Those who have experienced mountain river trekking in Thailand or any other country will understand better. To see the narrow channel that runs between two high mountains, you have to go to Jessam Bond Island or abroad. Such a scene can be seen in our own country. And it will be seen several times over and over again.
And along with the sound of the launch, you will also hear the sound of some springs nearby. Especially during the rainy season, the flow of water from Jhar Hill is high.
India's Tripura is at the eastern end of this upazila. Besides Baghaichari in the north, Jurachari in the south, Langadu and Rangamati Sadar in the west.
The hills here look like rocks but are mainly made of sandstone. Again, in some places it will look like soil, but inside there are layers of stones arranged in rows. The big hills of Rangamati district are situated in this region.
Kaptai trip was like a dream for me. Its feelings are not expressed. For those who want to go somewhere in 1 day trip I would say Kaptai is the best option.
Ah Kaptai is not to forget you. 🖤
I fell in love with your beauty.
Kaptai is not the same as expressing the feelings of the trip.
Some important points/for Bangladeshi and foreign travelers to know:
bring CNG from the head of the road in the agreement.
When riding a motorcycle, wear a helmet. Otherwise, you can't enter. Several bikers in front of us were not allowed to go because of this.
Kaptai Dam has another road to reach there which we realized after going there. Because many people have brought cars/CNG on alternative roads.
If you have a reference, you can go inside the barrier. I didn't know anyone. So I couldn't go.
If you want to have lunch, make a reservation by calling Lake Paradise before 10:30.
I may have missed some important points in the journey. Those who have traveled can add in the comments.
When going on a trip, drop the food packet at the designated place.
Thanks for your valuable time🖤🚣♂️
