ROAD TRIP KHI TO KPK | PAKISTAN

Travelling to Shangla is an amazing and memorable experience. But it takes money, time, and effort. In this post i will share about a journey from Karachi to Shangla on a budget. Including the driver, there were 4 people in the car to avoid getting too cramped during the long drive. And all the expenses I am mentioning here are for 3 to 4 people.

The reason for the increase in my estimated budget was the extra travel. We planned the journey from Shangla to Naran Kaghan after reaching Shangla.

How Much Money Will It Cost?

A road trip from Karachi to Shangla is a great way to see Pakistan on a budget. The cost of the trip will depend on how many people are in your group, and how long you plan to stay in each place. Here is a breakdown of some of the costs you can expect:

The full tank with the petrol price at that time in Pakistan was $ 54.18.
The round trip cost us about $ 305.63.
We paid the driver $ 32.12 per day.
For 5 days we paid total $ 181.30 (Car rent and driver included in this cost)

- Accommodation: You can find basic accommodation for as little as $5 per night, but if you want something more comfortable, expect to pay closer to $9 per night.

- Food: Pakistan has some delicious food, and you can find good meals for as little as Rs. $0.9 per person. If you want to eat more cheaply, pack some snacks and sandwiches from home. However, there are also many affordable roadside restaurants and superstores.

- Activities: There are plenty of things to do along the way, and many of them are free or very cheap. However, if you want to do something like visit a museum or go on a safari, you will need to budget for those activities accordingly.

What's The Best Route To Take and What Should I See Along The Way?

When planning a road trip from Karachi to Shangla, the best route to take is the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway. This motorway is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the countryside. Along the way, there are several stops that are worth making. The first stop is at Kotri. The second stop is at Diji Fort, which is an ancient fort that was built by the Talpur Family. The Third stop is at Rohri / Sukkur, which is a great city of ancient Sindh.
