Couple of months ago, I have shared a post regarding my trip to Chaukhandi tombs on 13th Aug 2022 (click here to check it out). It was the day full of adventures. In the first half of the day, we spent an hour at Chaukhandi tombs and then headed towards our main spot i.e. Ranikot. On our way to Ranikot, we all got little hungry. At around 14:30, we decided to have a break at Café Imran for lunch.
I always heard a lot about café Imran from my friends as it is one of the most popular restaurant but never been there before. It was my first time to experience the food of café Imran. The plan was to just have a quick meal there and not to waste much time as we have a long journey ahead for Ranikot. But once the menu card was in my hands, I just forgot everything about the plan and started discussion to place an order. I am a foodie and I don't miss these chances. My eldest Bro did get a bit annoyed on this and asked me to order some quick meals which won’t get us waiting for long.
I was like we are at café Imran and it’s the right time to check the taste and quality of this restaurant because it is not easy for me to get there so often, this is my last chance, who knows when it would be next time so, I did get a scolding from my Bro but still ordered some main dishes : Mutton Handi, Chicken Karahi, Dhaka fish, Grill Fish and a corn soup. We were asked to wait for half an hour to get the order served.
My bro’s mood changed as there was no other option and we started chit chatting and discussing about our plan for rest of the day. Our driver Mr. Shaukat, who is also a friend of my bro, is a jolly type person and always jokes around, making us laugh and smiles all the way. We were pulling his leg and blamed him for the delays and being late to reach Ranikot.
Café Imran, the place looks decent and have 2 portions, one with A/C and other one without A/C. The inside area where we were sitting was looking nice and comfortable. First, the soup was served and it was a good one. Then the rest of the food was served.
No doubt, the taste was fantastic and quality was up to the mark. My favorite garlic naan were so soft and delicious. Whatever I heard about this place was all true, their food was awesome.
Fish was nicely prepared, there was not a single thing to complain about this food. We really enjoyed our lunch there. It took one and a half hour for lunch and then at around 16:00, we continued our journey for Ranikot.
