Family Outing to Manora Beach

Family Outing to Manora Beach

a month ago · 5 min read · Sindh

Last time, we went to Manora Island was in 2015 when my Eldest Bro with his family was in Pakistan to visit us. I shared that trip in my past posts, click here to check those old pictures. I shared the info in it that Government has transformed this place into a wonderful family outing place with lots of huts and other activities added in there. Last year, we get to see this place and truly, it has become a really nice and well maintained beach spot for families.

Last year in September, when my Bro and sister in law were in Pakistan to meet us, we planned an outing to Manora Island. My Bro booked three luxurious cars for this trip which arrived early morning on time at 7 am. I must say this was something extraordinary, instead of booking a coaster or Hiace, he went on to book three cars just for the comfort of all of us and specially for our Parents and our kids.

The day started with a breakfast at one of most well-known restaurant "Tooso". I don't remember when was the last time we had breakfast outside in some restaurant. It was a nice idea and we really having enjoyed our breakfast. It was Halwa Puri, a famous breakfast for the people of Karachi.

The freshness and taste of Halwa Puri was worth enjoying and it was really different from others. However, it was a bit expensive but is justified because of its uniqueness. Our kids loved the Halwa Puri which can be seen by their happy faces.

We had a good time at Tooso having a wonderful breakfast following a hot served cup of tea and then we moved on to our next destination and that was Manora Island.

We reached there on time, it was not opened yet and couple of families were already waiting for their counter to be open for the tickets. I took my place in the que and waited for the counter man. The ticket was not much however, it does not include the hut in it. Hut needs to be booked separately and is rented on hourly basis. We went inside and without wasting time, booked the first available hut for three hours. The service level and the staff was good. However, the hut we selected first was not so cleaned up so changed it and took the next one which was looking suitable for our Parents and our Kids.

wowow awesome views and thanks to that lovely weather. It was a good idea to reach there early because we do not like crowded places. Secondly, the weather was calm at that time and the sea waves were not that dangerous. Overall, it was the right time to hit this place with the kids.

We went to the beach, enjoyed the waves by the seashores. It was fun to watch our kids who were scared a bit of the waves first but then they wanted us to stand by the seashore to enjoy the waves. They were trying to be brave but once the wave hits their feet, they just start crying lol

My Kid was confused whether to enjoy or run away from the waves lol. Honestly, I dont like getting my cloths wet by those waves of the Sea. I just like to sit and watch the sea and their movement.

On the other hand, My Wife is crazy about the beaches and she liked to stand on the beaches, feeling the waves to hit and then balancing to stay steady. It is too risky for me, why to risk our lives for that type of fun. Still I went on to the beach with all of them but making sure, we do not go further ahead where it would be difficult to stand steady and waves can make us unbalance.

My Parents were looking so beautiful together with their hats on which my Eldest Bro bought for them specially for this trip. They were so happy, and enjoying the moment.

My Eldest Bro is unstoppable when it comes to the beaches and he always used to do this whenever we went to the beach side. Going ahead and enjoying the deep water. I was screaming that don't go further but he never listen to us lol

After enjoying an hour in the water, we went to the hut and relaxed a bit. My other bro Shabhai and Sister in Law from Sweden played Hockey with the Kids.

Now, it was the time to taste the fish and My Bro ordered some fishes, I am not sure about the names but some fishes and he also filmed it for his social media followers.

The real fun was for Kids, they were having a great time enjoying the sea. They all got seated on the chairs and were looking at the sea, smiling and talking to each other, dont know what they were discussing about.

We spent like four hours there and then left the place. It was good to see the difference from our last visit of 2015.

Looking for a fishing area, we spent an hour or so in roaming around the Manora Island and exploring some other places but unfortunately, we didn't find any other suitable place where we can enjoy with Kids.
