I would like to take you some interesting places today.
The first of them will be the manor in Lodygowice, called "the castle".
This castle is a remnant of the Lodygowicki State, founded at the beginning of the 17th century, and lasting until the outbreak of World War II.
(This is rich material for a separate post. On winter evenings I will have something to write about.)
And now - let's go back to the beginning of today's cycling trip.
Yesterday the weather completely disappointed me, so today, right after work, I decided to jump on my bike, although increasingly clouds were gathering on the horizon.
I started on the well-known bicycle path. A week ago, construction work was underway here, and today the asphalt is nicely laid, and you can achieve a nice speed :)
When I arrived at the manor house in Lodygowice, the sky was completely overcast, but the clouds were white and gray, so I wasn't afraid of rain.
Near the manor house there is a wooden church from the 17th century, whose history I will describe one day.
I continued on the side roads. After a few kilometers I had to climb a large uphill, but the views upstairs rewarded me for this effort.
Then the road led gently down until I reached the second (and most important) point of my route.
Peace and quiet - Zywieckie lake.
I rested a while, and continued my journey along the shore of the lake.
Finally, at the end of the path, I noticed my mountain, so I took the azimuth for Skrzyczne, and headed home.
I leave peace and quiet behind me ;)
On the way home I stopped several times.
The pointer place that interested me was an interestingly made insect house.
The river flowing into the lake is completely wild and unregulated here.
A kilometer away the river changes completely, it became narrow and its banks very steep.
Narrow river, narrow bridge ... the most important thing is that I have a good route direction.
Someone always watches over the right direction of the route.
My today's route on the map looks like this:
Around 25 minutes you can see a short but steep uphill road. The road descend down to the lake, and slowly return uphill, to home.
To sum up -
the whole training lasted over an hour and a half, I traveled 27 kilometers during this time (this is my new record) and burned over 1000 calories - I am the most happy about it.
