We crossed Warsaw on foot, but how about looking at it from above?
It's definitely a great idea to look at the panorama of the whole city. We will get a better overview of where there is what and look at where we have been everywhere and where we will go to see.
In Warsaw, even throughout Poland, there is no taller building than the Palace of Culture and Science. In addition to many museums, galleries, exhibitions and much more, there is a viewpoint.
We enter the bottom, buy a ticket and head to the thirtieth floor with one of several express lifts.
The building has a total height of 231 meters. It was built in 1955 and architecturally resembles a building in Moscow. It was designed by a Soviet architect and dedicated to the city as a gift from Stalin. For this reason, it is causing controversy among local people.
One of the parks we visited in the city is Ujazdow park.
It is located next to Lazienki Park, only a road divides them. In the park there is a castle, which serves as a restaurant. I was fascinated by the panorama of this park. The castle is built on the terrace and has a nice view towards the river Vistula. It's a nice height and there are a lot of stairs going down to the park.
Near our accommodation there is a museum dedicated to the famous composer and piano virtuoso Fryderyk Chopin.
Although we passed him several times, we did not enter the bottom. However, we could not fail to enter the nearby Church of the Holy Cross, where his heart is stored in a silver box.
