This spa town became our holiday town this year and a place where we went on trips.
After successfully completing the journey by car and a few hours stop in Donovaly in the fairytale village of Habakkuk, we arrived at our destination and went to stay. We left the house in the morning, but time is up and we have an early evening. We quickly unpacked the most necessary things, ate and chose to look around. We will live here for a few days, so we need to know what is around us.
Opposite our pension there is a swimming pool with thermal water. I'm looking forward to swimming in it. We immediately planned the plan and determined the time when we would go swimming.
Sklené Teplice is known mainly for its spas, which are among the oldest spas in Slovakia. Healing springs, which have a temperature of 38 to 52.3 ° C, have warmed people since the 16th century. Among other things, they also have a positive effect on the musculoskeletal system, which people certainly noticed quickly at that time. The mineral water that springs here contains a large amount of calcium and magnesium.
The large amount of minerals that this water contains is also visible in this boil.
The spa is located approximately in the middle of the village and forms a substantial part of the village. Entry to the complex is also allowed to people who are not accommodated here. We took advantage of this and went for a walk around the spa area.
It is a really large area with several buildings, where various procedures are performed. There are ponds and rest areas in the area, which provide relaxation to guests. We were most interested in dragonflies. Although I tried to take a picture of at least one of them, I couldn't. In short, they were faster than me.
There is even a historic vehicle parked here. Admission is free. Unfortunately, this is only made of wood and despite trying to depress the accelerator pedal, we could not move.
We liked the hot water that springs from this spring Levik the most. We kept coming back to it and we had to taste it.
The area is maintained, as can be seen in these shots.
The feast for the eyes were these beautiful water lilies, which were located in one of the lakes.
With this walk we ended the first day of the holiday and we went to the room to relax and prepare for the next day.
Well thank you.
