Hey Hivers, it's been awhile and welcome back to my blog! Whether you're a seasoned reader or a curious newcomer, I'm thrilled to have you here. For those of you who haven't met me yet, I'm @patrixx21, and this is where I share my thoughts, experiences and adventures.
Weeks before our final examination, Sir Mandal told us that we don't need to take a test in his PE class but then, he divided the class into two groups and gave us different task, instead.
The first group, which is the group 1 will be organizing the Aquatic Activity, as we all know or for your new knowledge, Aquatic is an activity that are/will be doned in water only. For the second group, the group two, they will organized the Mountaineering Activity, obviously it's all about climbing in the mountains or hills.
Our group will be the one to organized the Aquatic Activity and make a detailed plan about it, but sadly we can't proceed with our plan because there are so many things to be done.
One of it is the permit for the pool then for the principal and for the parents, and as we all know many parents are concerned about the accident that may occur during the activity so, we all agreed to proceed with the plan of the other group which is mountaineering and go as a whole section instead. Also, it's less hassle and much more convenient for us all.
On the day of modules submission, the facility shared the location and time for the activity. We all agreed to held the Mountaineering activity in the Paksol, Inuburan instead in Naupa and they also discussed about the time of arrival and what to bring during the activity. Everything is settled and ready for that day.
I wake up, 3:00 AM in the morning, when I heard the ringing sound of my phone clock, I hurriedly run to the bathroom to take a short bath because I'm afraid to be late because honestly speaking, I don't really know and I'm so bad at directions.(😂😂)
I already packed my need the day before so my things is ready to go is just water, snack, towel, extra shirt and umbrella in case it will rain on our way, I'm born ready.(☺️) On the day of the Activity, we all should arrive at Inuburan corner, exactly 5:15 because the facilitor will shortly discuss about the do's and don'ts and if someone will get hurt during the activity, and then 5:20 to start already in hiking.
4:20 and I'm all set and ready to go but then the sky is cloudy and a bit dim as if it will going to burst a heavy rain that's why my mother force me to stay a little bit because the time is still long. Also our teacher set up a Meeting point witch is in front of Savemore for those who wasn't aware with the direction to Inuburan with a time of 5:00 AM.
But unfortunately, I forgot the time being focus in playing with my dog and scroll in my phone, that's why I panicked and hurriedly run outside crying, after realizing that I am late in the meeting place, which is in Savemore. So while in the alley I can't stop crying because none of those vehicle passed by when I need it, and it seems like fate is playing with me.(😭)
Luckily my mother know someone who owns a "Racal Motor". I'm so thankful to the driver for being nice and kind. I salute him for keeping me calm with his words while riding because really, they're so many what if's scenario in my head that time, I'm so overthinker.(😅😭)
So fast forward and I already saw my classmates in the alley, patiently waiting for the others. I hurriedly run to my friends and greet them good morning. We also talked about my experiences and struggles on my way to the alley.
Later on, were already completed and ready to go, that's why the facilitor start the orientation and Sir Mandal offered a short prayer for a safe trip. After everything is settled we started our way to peak while the sun ray's are not too painful.
On our way to the Paksol, the scenery is so refreshing. The air gets noticeably cooler, towering trees thick trunks reaching for the sunlight.
Halfway to the peak but I'm already exhausted. Madam @amishu is with me and on our way, we keep our self motivated not to give up because were almost at the peak.
Finally, we reached the Paksol, all safe. My face and body is covered with sweat as I find a place to take a rest. Pulling a water bottle from my pack, letting the refreshing liquid slide down my throat.
Then, Sir Mandal the one who bought the Jollibee together with the facilitors, distribute the food to all. We have two choices between burger and spaghetti and I chose spaghetti because it's my favorite.
After the eating and taking a rest, the facilitors prepared a two different kinds of game with prizes. The class is divided into 3 groups and form in a line. The first game was form in line and hold onto the person in front of you .
The mechanics is to catch the last person in line each of the group by the person in front in each group. The winner in that game is the group 3. The second game, which is The Longest Line but with a twist.
Our group is already have the longest in all of the other groups, but then the twist is, the first group that can wear back all the things they put in line would be the winner. So in the end, we all won in the game and win a prize.
We wrap up the game with so much laughter in the air, cheers and high fives. We will forever keep the happy memories together most especially in playing because there so many epic moments happened while playing. Our friends fall exactly on top of the plant, on the group and some rolled over.(😅😭) It's so chaotic and messy but never be forgotten.(😂) Indeed, STEM 12 - Velasco Is One With Nature.
We take our time admiring the scenery in front of us and then, the facilitors give their final speech to end the event and for us to finally go home.
But instead in going home, we have already planned to go to Marilyn's place to make a leche flan because before that day we already bought ingredients bacause Chuss Lee keep in saying that she's craving for it.
First, we crack the the 10 eggs and separate the egg yolk to the white ones because only the egg yolk that we will be using.
Second, is we put white sugar in each molder "lanera" and caramelize to a medium low heat, then set aside to cool.
Next is slowly stir the egg yolk and moderately add the 1 can of evaporated milk and 1 condensed milk, then 2 drops of vanilla extract (optional), if you get the consistency, stop stirring. After that, use a strainer to strain the bubbles in the mixture then you can now transfer the mixture into the "lanera" with a caramelize sugar in it.
Lastly, put it into the streamer but since we don't have any, we just use a big pot and add a right amount of water to steamed the leche flan for 60 minutes/ 1 hour.
After 60 minutes the leche flan is ready, we put it in the fridge to let it cool. It's not perfect, but it taste really very good.
While waiting for the leche flan, our food for lunch is ready so we started eating and we have "halang-halang" by Kate and "bihon" by Marilyn's mother but before that we offered a short prayer and then dig in. After eating we decided to eat some dessert, the leche flan. It's so tasty and yummy.(😋)
Finally, it's time to really go home, so we bid our goodbye to Marlyn and her family and thank you for letting us stay in their home then promise her mother to be back if there's a time.
