Another Sunday and the whole day available. This time a friend organize a ride to the city of Sozopol, I and @vesytz joined.

We were 8 people and first, we passed Poda area, climbed the hill of Otmanly park and then we reach Chernomorec where we made rest and have some lunch in the town park. After that, we hit the road to Sozopol.

The road from Chernomorec to Sozopol is very good for riding. On the way, we meet another group who cycle from Sozopol.

After 3 hours of cycling, we arrived at the final destination.

Sozopol is a descendant of the Greek colony Apolonia and together with Nessebar is one of the oldest Bulgarian cities. From antiquity to the 17th century Sozopol was a thriving shopping center. It is known as a fishing and wine center and has an important place in the Thracian grain trade. Since the late antiquity, the town has developed as an important church center with many medieval monasteries. These days it's a popular holiday and tourist destination.

When we enter the old city I decide to push my bike and take some photos through the narrow streets. There is a lot to see. In 2012, a tomb was discovered and the deceased had an iron wedge in his chest around the area of the joint. And historians said they used to bury vampires that way. So there is a vampire grave in Sozopol :)

On the way, an old man stopped me and ask me for my bicycle. He was on 72 and still ride his bicycle and now he has a new one from his grandson and usual cycling on the sunrise when streets are empty from the people. After 20 min chat with him, we wish each other farewell and many more years of cycling.

I was far away from my buddies but continue to walk on the Sozopol stress. Then I went to the old fortress wall where were the rest of the group.

There we made 1-hour rest. After that, we continue to make the tour we passed the port and left the entrance/еxit where there was a big old anchor.

We got together and left for Burgas. On the way back one of our friends who late in the morning just arrived at Sozopol but he turned around because we already leveling. We saw again the same bikers group that was returning to Sozopol and we to Burgas.

We went back the same way we came. We had an idea to bypass the alternative, but some of the group were very tired and the uplands would come to them more.

On Poda area gaze the sunset also met 2 friends who made their daily cycling. Sun was down and we back to home.
