Greetings coffee lovers, I am very happy to share with you a pleasant experience, visiting a Cafe whose theme is literature.
For some time now I have heard about this café, the young people who study at the University visit it quite often and my niece has been there on several occasions and I assure you that I would like it, because its atmosphere is natural and very fresh.
I confirm that it has been a while since I visited a Café and we are living a very uncomfortable situation in the country with the fuel, so for the older ones like me it is more feasible to stay at home and organize a pleasant stay.
Well, last Saturday I went out with my sister and my niece to do some errands and we decided to stop for a rest at the Café Cuba Libro, which is the name of the place, its address is 24th street corner 19 Vedado, Havana,Cuba.
Since I saw its entrance I was very pleasantly impressed, because it is a successful undertaking of the people who live there, they took part of the house and the garden transforming it into a very cozy place.
It is admirable the ingenuity they had to decorate the place, they did not use expensive resources, on the contrary, they used many recyclable materials and objects that made me admire the place even more.
The space is not big but very well distributed, the garden has some tables on one side and on the other there is a small bar, in the back a rustic table, on the other side there was like an amahaca and a very artistic ceiling, which I could not take pictures because it was busy and the owners of the place have a privacy policy and do not allow photos.
In fact the ones I got from the place were with their consent.
I really like to sit outside the cafe, to enjoy the nature and the movement of the street that always offers a picturesque spectacle, so while I was looking around inside the place, my sister and my niece looked for an empty space in the garden.
Unfortunately outside there was only the bar and the small table, we tried to share the small table but it was uncomfortable and the bar did not allow us to interact well.
That was the reason why we went inside the cafe, a small space with only two tables and a bench, it is in this place where you can find the books, which are organized in very original bookcases, like the wooden sofa that I showed you before and that because it was so interesting to me, I show you again now.
Already seated at one of the tables, the girl who was assisting us, showed us the menu, I must tell you that the offers were very varied and attractive, they offered a wide range of drinks and snacks.
My niece loves natural fruit smoothies, my sister and I are addicted to coffee in all its versions, as we were somewhat suffocated, we opted to order a Frapuccino and to snack on some muffins.
As I mentioned before, the fuel situation affects the whole country and sadly the house could not offer anything that had to use electrical equipment.
That upset the little girl a little, but the waitress with a very professional attitude proposed many options and made her fall in love with a pineapple juice with condensed milk, which turned out to be exquisite, my sister and I opted for our typical coffee with milk.
While we were enjoying our order, we could see some of the visitors working on the laptos and others reading while enjoying their drinks.
Another detail that surprised me pleasantly, was to see how the sugar bowl and the container that served the juice to my niece, was a glass knob, of those that were containers of industrial products bought in the markets, which shows how it is possible to recycle and give utility to the containers.
We certainly had a very nice time, a very cozy atmosphere, very good quality and variety of their offerings and a high professionalism, for all that and much more I recommend you to visit this Café.

I was particularly happy to see a simple and prosperous business despite the adversities, this is very encouraging for Cuban entrepreneurs and I think we should spread this experience as an example of good practices.

Saludos amantes del cafe, estoy muy feliz de compartir con ustedes una agradable experiencia, en la visita a un Cafe cuya temática es la literatura.
Desde hace algun tiempo he oído de este café, los jóvenes que estudian en la Universidad lo visitan bastante y mi sobrina ha estado en varias ocasiones y me aseguro que me gustaría, porque su ambiente es natural y muy fresco.
Les confirso que hacia rato no visitaba un Café y es que vivimos una situación bastante incómoda en el país con el combustible y entonces para los mayorcitos de edad como yo es más factible quedarse en casa y organizar una estancia agradable.
Pues bien el sábado pasado salí con mi hermana y mi sobrina a hacer algunas gestiones y decidimos hacer una parada para descansar en el Café Cuba Libro, que es como se llama el lugar, su dirección es calle 24 esquina 19 Vedado. La Habana. Cuba.
Desde que vi su entrada me impresionó muy gratamente, pues es todo un emprendimiento exitoso de las personas que viven ahi, tomaron parte de la casa y el jardín transformandolo en un lugar muy acogedor.
Es admirable el ingenio que tuvieron para decorar el lugar, no utilizaron recursos costosos, todo lo contrario, utilizaron muchos materiales y objetos reciclables que hicieron que admirará más el lugar.
El espacio no es grande pero muy bien distribuido, el jardin tiene algunas mesas en un lado y al otro hay una pequeña barra, en el fondo una mesita rústica, del otro lado había como una amahaca y un techo muy artistico, que no pude retratar pues estaba ocupado y los dueños del lugar tienen una politica de privacidad y no permiten fotos.
De hecho las que obtuve del lugar fue con su consentimiento.
A mi me gusta mucho sentarme en los exteriores de los cafe, para disfrutar de la naturaleza y el movimiento de la calle que siempre ofrece un espectáculo pintorezco, por eso en lo que yo curioseaba por el interior del lugar, mi hermana y mi sobrina buscaron un espacio vacio en el jardin.
Lamentablemente afuera solo quedaba la barra y la mesita pequeña, intentamos compartir la mesita pero resulto incómodo y la barra no nos permitía interactuar bien.
Ese fue el motivo por el que entramos al interior del café, un espacio pequeño, con solo dos mesas y un banco , es en este lugar dónde puedes encontrar los libros, los cuales están organizados en libreros muy originales, como el sofá qde madera que les mostré anteriormente y que por lo interesante que me resultó, les vuevo a enseñar ahora.
Ya acomodadas en una de las mesas, la muchacha que nos estaba asistiendo, nos mostro la carta, debo decirles que las ofertas eran muy variadas y atractivas, ofrecian una amplia gama de bebidas y aperitivos.
Mi sobrina adora los batidos de frutas naturales, mi la hermana y yo somos adictas al café en todas sus versiones, como estábamos algo sofocadas, optamos por pedir un Frapuccino y para picar unos panecillos.
Cómo les comenté anteriormente, la situación con el combustible afecta todo el funcionamiento del país y tristemente la casa no podía ofertar nada que tuvieran que utilizar equipos eléctricos.
Eso contrarió un poco a la niña, pero la mesera con una actitud muy profesional le propuso muchísimas opciones y la enamoró con un jugo de piña con leche condensada, que resultó una exquisites, mi hermana y yo optamis por nuestro tipico cafe con leche.
Mientras nos deleitabamos con nuestro pedido, pudimos ver a algunos de los visitantes trabajar en la laptos y otros leer mientras disfrutaban de su bebida.
Otro detalle que me sorprendió agradablemente, fue ver como la azucarera y el recipiente que le sirvieron el jugo a mi sobrina,era un pomo de cristal, de esos que eran envases de productos industriales comprados en los mercados.lo que muestra como es posible reciclar y dar utilidad a los envases.
Ciertamente pasamos un rato muy agradable, un ambiente muy acogedor, muy buena calidad y variedad de sus ofertas y una alta profesionalidad, por todo eso y mucho más les recomiendo que visiten este Café.
En lo particular me sentí feliz en ver un negocio sencillo y próspero a pesar de las adversidades, es muy alentador esto para los emprendedores cubanos y pienso debemos divulgar esta experiencia com un ejemplo de buenas prácticas.
