One of the city I loved the most is Urbino in the region the Marche, is a wallet city, like an old fortress. The city is situated on a hill and the view when you go by car to the top of the hill the view of the city its awesome.
It's famous not only for the cool medieval walls and buildings but also for one of the biggest university in Italy.
There are many students in Urbino, some lives there and others not but there are many students in Urbino.
It's kind of student city because most of the activities are oriented to the students and their needs.
The city have a long story, it's start in a Roman age but it became wonderful and powerful during the Middle age.
Urbino is situated in Montefeltro area, it was dominated for long time, since 1444 by the Duke of Monentefeltro, named Federico, he was important politic Aly and in many other ways, he was a big patron of art and literatures and good in economical and financial business.
Urbino as a top long history it was dominated by Cesare Borgia, than an annexetion to the papal state, a domination by French etc...
At the beginning of the 1800 many parts of the city was rebuild ed and renovated and also the cool Duomo of Urbino was made on these years.
It's really a lovely city. When I walked trough it felt the heavy footprints of the history and the religion, this city its so full of art, religion, history that there are really too many things to visit and to do.
