San Paolo church is a church dedicated to Saint Paul, situated in the middle of Pistoia, close to the center and in a good position, with a parking close and many streets near if you want to walk there. It's also close to a bank, in the other part of the steet, some food shops and a catholic school builded by the nuns. The church was built in the x century, but it gets renovated the century after.
It's still look like the initial Gothic style but the inside changed during the 800,a part of the church, the rooftop had an accident with fire, that almost destroy all the church in the end of 1800, luckily it ruin only a part of the church without too much damage.
In the front, up on the door there is a sculpture of Saint Agatha and Eulalia, it was made by Gerino Gerini during the 1500. In the inside there are many frescoes from various artist of the 1300. There is also a holu piece of tree, connected to Saint Paolino.
It was very important in the past.
Mostly of the frescoes are about the history of Saint Paul. This church is famous in the city because they have the "Adorazione perpetua di Maria" so a little chapel where there are Nuns that pray at every hour of the day and of the night, you can go there too in the night or day if you want to join them in the pray or the adoration of mother Mary.
It's also very beautiful to see the church on the left or the right, many frescoes with saints decorate it. If you visit Pistoia you mystu visit this church and light a candle to Saint Paul.
