Today we went to Fiesole a nice city in province of Florence, a city with Etruscan origins and then allied with Rome, then taken by the Lombards suffered a decline and various wars devastated it but it has always recovered and over time it has become half appreciated by foreigners especially the English and Americans and is still today an excellent support for tourists, close to Florence, in a beautiful hilly area and with a breathtaking view and all the basic necessities and shops and bars and restaurants, in short, a beautiful town.Unfortunately our little trip to Fiesole was very fast and short, because we were there for my husband's business but I found my stop there very pleasant, the main square houses works of contemporary art, sculptures, as you can see in the photo and is the fulcrum of the city, in front of the bishop's palace stretches the square and its shops and businesses. The tower you see instead is part of the Cathedral of Fiesole an imposing structure immediately on the rise of the city which I guarantee you is quite a steep climb. In short, I found Fiesole very pleasant and I hope to go back to learn more and also see some places of interest from the inside.

Oggi siamo stati a Fiesole una città in provincia di Firenze, una citta con origini etrusche e poi alleata con Roma, presa poi dai Longobardi subì un declino e varie guerre la devastarono ma si è sempre rialzata e nel tempo è diventata metà apprezzata dagli stranieri specialmente inglesi e americani e tutt'oggi è un ottimo appoggio per i turisti, vicina a Firenze, in una bellissima zona collinare e con una vista mozzafiato e tutti i beni di prima necessità e negozi e bar e ristoranti, insomma una bella cittadina.
Purtroppo il nostro viaggetto a Fiesole è stato molto veloce e breve, perché eravamo li per affari di mio marito ma ho trovato la mia sosta li molto piacevole, la piazza principale osputa opere di arte contemporanea, sculture, come vedete nella foto ed è il fulcro della città, dinnanzi al palazzo vescovile si stende la piazza e i suoi negozi e esercizi commerciali. La torre che vedete incece è parte del Duomo di Fiesole un imponente struttura subito alla salita della città che vi garantisco è una bella salita ripida. Insomma ho trovato Fiesole molto piacevole e spero di tornarci per approfondire e vedere anche dall'interno alcuni luoghi di interesse.
