I had backpacked my way across Asia to the United Kingdom where I had visited and stayed with some distant relatives. I was keen to see a bit of Europe as well. An organized Bus tour for a while seemed like a good idea especially as it was winter and they included Greece on the itinerary which was a little warmer. It was my first bus tour and I am not sure what I was expecting but it was full off Aussies 18s to 35s, lots of drinking and partying with a bit of site seeing thrown in. It was great to hear all the football scores from back home as I had been away for a while and back in the 1990s it was hard to get news unless it was major and made the international papers and TV.
There was close to 50 of us on this bus, lots of us met up the night before in a London pub. The first few weeks were great travelling around Europe, seeing all the sites, meeting and getting to known everyone on the bus, having somebody else organise most meals and all accommodation, lots of parties and drinking but it soon wore off and by the end I was keen to get off the bus before it crossed the channel back to England and do some more solo travelling.
We got to see so many amazing places and here are some of them.
