A Travel Story : Konya - City of the Mevlana and Şems-i Tebrizi - P. II

In the first part i tried to tell Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi and his philosophy.Today i want to dig in different things of Konya.Konya is the biggest city of the Turkiye with its great area and it lays on a plain which is called Konya Plain.So you can not see any hill or high rocks in Konya.

A City for the Street Photographers : Konya

As you all know i love streetphotography because it is my hobby.And Konya is a great place for taking street pictures.There are a lot of historical places(generally mosque and i will talk about this situation too), too many old peoples,historical tram and a lot of parks for the people...it is just up to you to take a camera and go outside for a walk. Especially Alaaddin Tepesi( Alaaddin Hill) is really good place to do these things.

City of Mosques : Konya

As i have said just before....Konya has a great area so there are a lot of structures especially.Actually i want to introduces all of them to you all but i just share pictures of them.

If you like riding bicycles , Konya is the right place !!

Yes Konya is a huge city with its area but overpopulation of the people live in Centre of the city and this makes bicycles an important transportation vehicle.Old and young,everybody rides bicycles in Konya.

So How can i go to Konya?

Of course if you are outside of the Turkiye, at first you need to come to Istanbul by a plane and then you can fly to Konya from Istanbul or you can get in an intercity bus to go to Konya.That's all easy.

Suggestions to passengers for Konya

1- When in Konya you should eat Etli Ekmek(Meat in Bread)

2-You must visit Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi Mosque and Şems-i Tebrizi Mosque...Because you feel a different things there.

3-If you have a car in Konya, go to countryside , you should go to Tuz Gölü (Salt Lake) , Beyşehir Lake (Gölü) , Çatalhöyük and Kapadokya ( Cappadocia ).
