Srimongol, It is a wonderful greenish place of Sylhet upozila, Bangladesh. The state of the tea garden . This hilly area with tea gardens, pineapple, lemon orchards and rubber plantations is one of the most enjoyable parts in this country. If you want to blend yourself with the green, so this place is for you.
Therefore, it is a small area easy to covered almost whole area within a day. We rented a house instead of hotel for one day and one night. There was a little forest next to the house and the reason for renting the house was just tried to get a flavor of night silence in the forest.
We were in group of 15 people. So we have taken two car to visit and this car is called 'chander gari'. Riding in a chander gari was totally exciting in the whole trip. Actually I didn't ride chander gari before visit Sylhet. So, It was really exciting for me. We had a great fun in the riding of chander gari.
In Srimongal, roads were quite interesting, it was totally zig-zag road and both side covered with fresh charming tea garden. Undoubtedly mesmerizing feels where can breathing deeply with full of pure oxygen.
After spending some time in tea states we have started to the way on 'Lawachara National park'.
Lawachara National park is full of mysterious place and nature reserve in Bangladesh. It is a protected forest. It is 8 kilometers from the town of Srimongal.
After entering the park, most beautiful train line we have seen first.
This forest is evergreen forest. Here rain occurs more frequently and the trees of the forest are very tall by competing for sunlight. As this forest is so dense that the ground doesn’t get sunlight properly.
The forest is famous for extinct apes. There are various species of rare animals, insects and plants. I don't think a tourist can walk alone in this forest in day time also, the body will be creepy. Walking alone is not safe there, snakes can be encountered at any time. I must say this place is wild and perfect for wild lovers.
Lawachara National Park covers 12.5 km2. This is a huge wild forest. We just covered few areas. We hired a guide to visit there.
Some of tribal community living inside of Lawachara National Park. The economy of the Khasia is extensively forest-concentric. Betel leaf and betel nut based hill farming practice is their principal occupation.
There house looks so simple and cool and clean also.
After a long walk we was so exhausted and bought water bottle from their local shop. We sat for a while to rest.
There is most famous tea of Srimogal, the seven colors tea. We called it 'shat ronger cha'. We had this special tea at at Lawachara.
