🇫🇷 Observer le lagon de Mayotte vu du ciel est une expérience qui ne s'oublie pas. Je l'ai vécue pour la première dois il y a de cela 15 ans par ULM. C'était inoubliable. Ce terrain de jeu que je connaissais par cœur sous la surface paraissait vouloir donner des explications par son observation du ciel. Tout cela c'était avant les drones. Les images présentées ici n'ont pas été réalisées depuis un ULM mais depuis un drone. Certes c'est un outil redoutable et très puissant, mais qui ne reproduit pas le sentiment de beauté vécue. Il faut attendre de se poser devant un écran afin de pouvoir profiter de la beauté du paysage.
🇬🇧 Observing the lagoon of Mayotte from the sky is an experience that cannot be forgotten. I experienced it for the first time 15 years ago in a microlight. It was unforgettable. This playground that I knew by heart under the surface seemed to want to give explanations by its observation of the sky. All this was before the drones. The images presented here were not taken from an ultralight aircraft but from a drone. Of course, it is a formidable and very powerful tool, but it does not reproduce the feeling of lived beauty. You have to wait to land in front of a screen so you can enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
🇫🇷 Vous observez ici un îlot de sable blanc situé sur le haut de la barrière de corail extérieure. L'accumulation des débris de coraux regroupés par les vagues et les courants permet l'apparition d'îlot de sable blanc comme celui-ci. La marée basse les fait apparaitre. Un lieu parfait pour la photo et le souvenir touristique, mais moins bien doté pour se protéger du soleil !! Les deux autres photographies proposent des vues de l'îlot M'Tsamboro. C'était il y a encore quelques années le paradis de la végétation de forêt sèche et indigène. Malheureusement l'îlot a été dévasté par l'agriculture clandestine. Les bananiers ont pullulé et la végétation indigène a presque totalement disparu. Les travailleurs sont souvent clandestins, les propriétaires Mahorais, et les services de l'Etat à la sieste et ruinés...
🇬🇧 Here you can see an island of white sand located on the top of the outer coral reef. The accumulation of coral debris gathered by waves and currents allows the appearance of white sand islands like this one. The low tide makes them appear. A perfect place for photography and tourist souvenirs, but less well equipped to protect themselves from the sun!! The other two photographs offer views of M'Tsamboro islet. Until a few years ago, it was the paradise of dry and indigenous forest vegetation. Unfortunately, the islet has been devastated by illegal agriculture. Banana trees have proliferated and native vegetation has almost completely disappeared. The workers are often illegal, the owners Mahorais, and the services of the State asleep and ruined...
