Dawn in the City of Light

Dawn in the City of Light

July 2020 · 2 min read · Paris

On our second day in Paris, there was no time to lose; we were completely excited and full of happiness because that day we would visit the world-famous Eiffel Tower, one of the most emblematic symbols of France.

With our map in hand we headed to the Trocadero area, where the Tower is located. We left the subway station and when we crossed the corner, we saw it there, huge, imposing, and beautiful. We were all trilled. I remember that my mother cried when she saw it, it was her dream to know that city and she was doing it with me.

As we got closer to the place, we took the opportunity to take photos at every angle. Upon arrival, we realized that there were many people and that we had to wait a few hours in line.

After a few hours, we were able to access the tower. Once at the top of the tower, we could appreciate all of Paris, the river Seine, the different boroughs, everything was a pleasure for my eyes, I was incredibly amazed, and at times I could not believe I was living such a great adventure.

After that series of emotions, Paris had much more to offer; it was time to see the famous Arc de Triomphe. At the beginning, it was a bit difficult for us to access it, since we could not find the underground passage.

I remember that one of my motivations was to photograph the name of General Francisco de Miranda, a fellow Venezuelan who had participated in the French Revolution. At that point we were really tired, we were so excited that we had not had lunch, so we finally went to eat and take a rest.

That night we had also planned to visit the world-famous Moulin Rouge cabaret, it was a very crowded and unique place, we took some brochures and after a while we went back to the inn as it was already late. My friend and I decided to stop by the inn’s bar and try a delicious European beer.

After that, it was time to go to sleep; the next day we would take the Euro Star train that would take us to London, I was already anxious.

Thats near me and i am a lover of Paris
