Hi all 👋🏻

Join me on a boat cruise over the RIVER DEE in CHESTER UK 🇬🇧
If you look closely you see the name of the boat… yep… it’s ”THE JACKIE” how cool is that 😎
Do you recognise it from my dinner out in Chester before I moved to Ireland in May post?

Here I was back in Chester for a city break of 3 nights beginning this week, when I joined hubby in the UK before we drove together to Ireland last Tuesday 😃
So sit back… have a warm drink and join me 🤓

With this post in our lovely #community this Friday I join in at #MarketFriday by @dswigle - Denise.

‼️If you want to know more about #MarketFriday’s have a look at the community about it: Market Friday community! run by the lovely @dswigle and her last post: “Seasons End: Market Friday“ where you find also the rules what to post if you want to join us. Do join in, it is fun 🤩

Today’s selection will be of 31 photographs
Date: 9 July 2023
The Photographs in this post are all taken with my iPhone 📱🤓
I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are experiencing my adventures with me, to 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 #discover everything what I saw, like the little #details seen through my eyes of this #tour on a #boat over the #river #dee in #chester #uk 😊

So while exploring the city of Chester we saw a few times this cute boat on the river. Here while it was sunny ☀️ and docked for another day of #trips with #tourists 🤓

We were wandering around… and I knew it would rain shortly, so hubby and I looked at each other… what next?
We decided to go on the tour with the boat, so we wouldn’t get rained on 🌧️🌧️ in the next hour or so.
We normally don’t do these kind of touristy things, but thought; “why not!” 😋

After looking at the website and it being close to 1500h we couldn’t book on-line the tickets anymore as they stop running the tours at 1700h.
So we had to go to the ticket office and pay a bit more 🙃

More information you find on the following website:
Chester boat

We decided to go on a “half-hour City Cruise”
On line tickets are £ 7,65 per person
At the boat are £ 8,50 per person

The location of CHESTER BOAT you can find on the following screenshot of Google maps with the yellow star ⭐️:

Passing by some interesting #architecture.

We see this beautiful footbridge, I will post about another day 😉

When we look to the left… as we were waiting for people to come off the little boat… we see:

Just before we go onboard of “THE JACKIE” I take this photograph:
IMG_6329.jpeg

@joetunex here is the tour with this cute little boat we talked about 😊
We found a spot all the way in the front of the boat and this is our view.
IMG_6330.jpeg
And the cruise starts… we are moving 😎⛴️
IMG_6332.jpeg

Now we pass under the foot bridge 🌉

IMG_6337.jpeg
This is part of the building we saw in the beginning but now seen from the river all the way on the right:
IMG_6339.jpeg
The clouds are getting dark ☁️
IMG_6341.jpeg
The views in the distance are stunning 🤩
IMG_6342.jpeg
Large houses do appear, some look like castles 🏰 but are not.
IMG_6343.jpeg
I see a tower on the left along the edge of the river. Do you see it?
IMG_6344.jpeg

This tower is part of the garden from the Airbnb we are staying in.
Closer up:
IMG_6347.jpeg
Next doors house has a lot of sculptures in the garden and on the terraces. Even some rhinos 🦏 😎 awesome to say the least.
IMG_6351.jpeg

We couldn’t see those from the Airbnb.
Our room is in the small pointy tower on the right. The house in the background.
Going further… such cool #buildings we see.
IMG_6353.jpeg
Also a church… this is my favourite photo of the day 🥰
IMG_6356.jpeg
Do you see the little boat houses on the edge? So many cool details…
IMG_6359.jpeg
A little further along the river, just before we turn around ⛴️
IMG_6365.jpeg

The clouds thicken and rain will start shortly 🌧️🌧️

After turning around we see Chester and some rain 🌧️ coming down in the distance.
IMG_6367.jpeg
The following photo is rather interesting, we see some ghost 👻 houses in the clouds ☁️ hehehe 🤭 a whole street lined up perfectly on the top of that dark cloud 😉😋 I thought let’s add this artistic element 😇😎 of the reflections 🙃
IMG_6368.jpeg
Along the route… the waterfront with the houses from the other direction 😊
IMG_6369.jpeg
Soon we pass by the church again.
IMG_6371.jpeg
A curtain of rain on the left… oh those people on that little boat will get wet soon 🌧️🌧️🌧️ hope they go back to the docking area quickly 🤓
IMG_6372.jpeg
“THE JACKIE” passes them quickly…
IMG_6376.jpeg
The footbridge again, so we are almost back where we started.
IMG_6378.jpeg
We pass by the docks… to turn around in the back.
IMG_6381.jpeg
In the back we see a beautiful arched bridge 🤓
IMG_6382.jpeg

And as it turns out… we still got wet getting off the boat ⛴️ hahaha so we were going from tree 🌳 to tree… until we found cover to wait the rain shower out.
As we wanted to explore Chester further. The weather luckily cleared up shortly ☀️😁

…and here I say “that’s all for today’s post my friends”… join me next time for more #updates, #adventures, #stories and #photographs soon 😎👋🏻 Even some #artworks once in a while will come by” 🎨
