Today we will talk about the new grain terminal Cargill in the South. This is one of the largest in Ukraine. This terminal must accept up to 5 million tons of grain a year. In addition, the depth of the pier is 16 meters. This is the deepest quay.

Several financial statistics

This project is realized by the companies: MVKargo (Ukraine) and Cargill (America). The total cost of this project is $ 150 million. This is the most expensive project in recent years in Ukraine. The main sponsors are the EBRD and IFC. They poured into the project 74 million dollars.

The new terminal should provide more than 10 percent of all grain in Ukraine. This terminal should bring the state from 600 million hryvnia a year. In addition, it is planned that the terminal will provide $ 8 million in port charges. More than 500 employees work here.

Terminal today

The terminal was launched on time. In the first decade of March this year, the terminal took the first wagons with grain. After all the systems were tested and the first analytical calculations were made, the specialists compiled their forecast. In particular, it is planned that the terminal can receive 256 cars a day, 790 vehicles. In total, the terminal will be able to receive 35,000 tons of grain per day.

Personal feelings

Recently I drove past this grandiose terminal. It can be seen from afar. The grandeur is felt not only when you look at this huge structure, but also when you try to realize the volumes that this terminal can take.

I like the fact that a large number of people work here. Here people have found work specialists from different parts of the region. But, it is also important that thanks to the terminal, farmers, combine operators, tractor drivers, machinists and grain truck drivers can earn. It turns out that the terminal gives work not 500, but at least 1000 - 1200 employees. It will also increase the sales of electricity, gas, water and so on. Accordingly, this increases the number of employees who can earn thanks to the terminal.

Thus, as you can see in the photos, this is a grandiose terminal that can not only bring substantial income to the country, but also give work to a huge number of specialists. In addition, it will become a real decoration of not only the South, but the whole region.
