Now we will talk about the youngest Village of the City Type of Odessa Region - Vanguard (Ovidiopolsky District). In the shortest time of its existence, the town has become one of the richest Territorial Communities in Odessa Region.
A bit of history
First of all, pay attention to the mounds scattered throughout the district. It turns out that the history of the region has more than one thousand year olds. It is a pity that while there is no way to conduct detailed studies of the history of the area.
According to documents, this area began to be populated in the first quarter of the 19th century. The most noticeable settlement of that time, which was located on the site of the present Vanguard, was the bishop's dacha, which gave the name to the settlement: Bishop's. By the way, the cottage has survived to this day. This farm was renamed during the Soviet Union in Preobrazhensky. Pay attention to the fact that there is another name for this area - Vladimirsky Farm.
In 1928, it was decided to establish a subsidiary farm of Odessa workers on these lands. Later it received the name: Vanguard State Farm.
In 1995, the Vanguard type urban settlement was founded. In 2017, the Vanguard United Territorial Community was founded.
Vanguard today
Today, the area of the village council is 1781.5 ha. 6828 people live here. This is census data. But according to unconfirmed reports, more than 12 thousand people live in the town.
The fundamental, fashionable to say - city-forming, is the "7 kilometer". The owner of the manufactured goods market, Viktor Dobryansky, is the main investor in the town. He is investing in infrastructure development.
Memory of the feat of ancestors
Here they remember and honor the exploits of their ancestors. In particular, they do not forget about those who defended our land from the Nazis. A whole complex of monuments was built here. As we see in the photo, the inhabitants of the Vanguard honor the individual units that fought on these lands.
By the next memorable date, a new monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War was erected here: an airplane. He personifies the fact that we won both on earth and in the air. When you look at this monument, the frames from the film are immediately recalled: "Only old people go into battle."
