Every day the New Year is getting closer. I showed how Odessa looks like. Today I decided to pay attention to my native Kotovsk (now: Podolsk). Every year the city is decorated and becomes festively beautiful. Yes, expectations have been enormous this year. In real life, everything turned out to be very modest.

We start walking along the central square of the city of Podolsk

Whatever one may say, but for people like me the city remains Kotovsky, not Podolsk. Anyway. We start with a curious photo zone. We see a large stand with a picture of a snowy forest.

The square was fenced off, made it pedestrian. The fence is made in the form of small Christmas trees. In the very corner, we see several snowmen. The throne of Santa Claus was installed nearby.

We looked at the main tree of the city and set off to the next photo zone. Here we see winter and New Year's motives. Including snowmen and curious ornaments.

Now let's turn our attention to the main monument-fountain. Yes, in the summer he is kind of prettier. But not much. On it we see the past name of the city: Kotovsk. On the side facing the station, and on the opposite, we see the modern name of the city: Podolsk. From the 4th side, you can find out what the city was called at the time of its birth: Birzula.

Pay attention to the sculptural composition: suitcases. The city is a major railway junction. We have both Lokomotivnoye and Vagonnoe depot.

We pass to the next location. Here you can see an ordinary, simple house, covered with snow. The windows are illuminated with lights. People are looking forward to the arrival of the New Year.

Go ahead. Here is Santa Claus's sleigh, harnessed by reindeer. They are installed against the background of the New Year's installation. Now we see the New Years scene and move on to the last installation.

At the stand we see another house. Quite a curious picture. But still, the main character is a tree. This year she is decked in blue. Rather, in the jewelry, the emphasis is on blue. In front of her we see Grandfather Frost, who meets and sees off all the guests of the city. In front of the tree, we see a large toy ball. This Christmas tree decoration has become a real symbol of the end of 2021.

So, the city is ready to welcome the New Year 2022. Locations and photo zones are already meeting people who want to take photos. The City Hall has planned a couple of festive events. Including for the New Year and Christmas. Maybe I'll show you what will happen in the city.
