Cebuanos love their rice, that's certain except if you are on a strict diet and is avoiding carbs but if not, extra rice is your virtue!
And if we talk about rice, we'd definitely go to somewhere where rice is unlimited! Let's then go over to Hukad in SM Seaside Cebu!
With clean and orderly space, tables were complete with the plates and condiments, chairs are positioned well and the lighting is perfect! There are just spots within the restaurant that has a tendency of getting warm because it is near to the window.
But nontheless, the ambiance is really good. It also has a good view of the Cebu City port area and the ocean!
Their hanging lights reflect that of what's very well known to Cebuanos, the hanging rice or what we locally refer as "puso" which literally means heart.
As for the food, I can't complain about anything except for their Calamare which didn't come with a special dip for it. As per the staff who was checking on us, the dip will be of a separate request which we missed to ask.
Baked scallops are also served here and I highly recommend it. They are buttery and melts in the mouth!
You are a true Filipino at heart if you love fish soup! Hukad serves yummy fish soup too! This is very needed specially to those families who have children or elderly but even the young adults need this too because we just have to take in something hot, its very Filipino!
Some other viands we ordered were their Crispy Chicken, Pancit Guisado and Calamares.
We all love the stuff we ordered of course but the restaurant's unlimited rice offer is still the best most especially if you have male companions! We were all female except for our two year old baby boy but we still ordered their unlimited rice.
What's so cool is that they serve it in this traditional serving spoon made of wood and coconut shell.
Of course we had a good time at the restaurant. The staff were really good at entertaining and making sure that their customers have a comfortable and satisfactory dining experience.
This is simply reflected on how happy we were.
