After much consideration, my husband's brother decided we could book a space at Hale Manna. It's his birthday and he decided to go out of town. It was also my in-law's first time to be out of Oslob together as a family and stay in a resort overnight so it was exciting. We traveled from Oslob to Moalboal taking the South-West road, passing by Santander, Samboan, Ginatilan, Malabuyoc, Alegria, and then Badian before arriving at Moalboal. Our travel time was one and a half hours.
We reached at one in the afternoon, and we were really glad that our room was ready and we were allowed to have an early check-in. As soon as we arrived, the kids asked to go to the pool and we had no option but to give in to their requests. I like our room because it is one of the four spaces here which has a kitchen and all the things needed for us to cook our food. Champaca was the name of our room, they have free drinking water, there are stove burners, and all the other things necessary to cook. This one costs Php 8,800 for six adults, kids were free of charge.
The entire afternoon was spent outdoors, we were at the pool, then at the beach, we did kayaks, and Matti went playing in the sand. Unfortunately, there's a huge change in Hale Manna's beachfront. In 2017 or 2018, we visited this place too and my memory tells me that there was a shoreline but today, the sand had been washed off, according to the caretakers, this happened after Typhoon Odette, it seems like the sand had been relocated!
Anyway, this didn't stop us from doing whatever we wanted to do. We even had a short photoshoot for the niece's 3rd birthday, we have to do it because we won't be back in Oslob until December this year or maybe next year.
That night, we had a boodle fight, but it rained, our plan of going to the main town was canceled and we also went to bed very early because of the rain. By the morning, I went walking around the property, took photos of the environment, and really experienced how solemn, how peaceful, and thankful that they had preserved nature in here, there are a lot of trees, and birds were seen flying here and there and I was even able to capture some of them while moving from one tree to another.
After breakfast, we went swimming again. Check-out time was at 12 noon so we made sure that we will have lunch first before heading out of the resort.
