It's like months ago when two of our Cebu-based friends visited us in Bohol and stayed in our town which is a two-hour drive away from Tagbilaran City. On their first day, they immediately asked me if there was any coffee shop nearby, 7-11 was still being constructed at that time. So, I have no recommendation but to give them only instant coffee.
Almost a year after, our town's first coffee shop opened, it's an extension of the booming business of Stickybuns, a cake shop! The owner's son, Iven, happened to be a coffee lover and he manages the said cafe, which he named of course Stickybuns Cafe. They used to just sell milk teas before in this corner but it was last year when he started showing plans of expanding the area. And finally, it has opened its doors!
It was in August when they opened up but my husband and I were in Cebu at that time so it was only when we got back to Bohol that we visited it. And we visited it in the evening because I was craving for their marketed croissant! I promise that we will come again and will be their regular customers if their coffee tastes good! But we only tried their cookies and cream milk tea instead as I might not be able to sleep if I take coffee.
The croissant was good but it was obvious that it had already been on display for the whole day as it's a bit dry. I guess it's better to eat here during the daytime. Next time, we will surely try their coffee! For now, these were the photos I took on our first visit!
The cafe by the way has a little dark vibe, the exterior walls are painted black and the inside has this industrial theme with its walls in a certain unfinished but smooth texture, a very common one for cafes. The place is clean, it smells coffee of course and I like that they have videos playing vlogs which was entertaining! They got a nice choice of music too!
As for the pricing, they are the same as the usual coffee shops in Tagbilaran City which ranges from Php 90-150. The croissant that we tried was worth Php 150 while the cookies and cream milk tea was worth Php 120. The milk tea had this tea taste which I like. There are many milk tea shops here in town where theirs less to zero tea taste and just all sugar so I am happy that they got the tea taste on point on their milk teas.
That's it for today! Thanks for reading!
