On one of our trips to Cebu, we booked a one-night stay at Escario Central Hotel along Escario Street but it was located at the far end of the said shopping complex. By morning, we planned on going to the nearby McDonald but as we were walking, we spotted this coffee shop already opened with zero customers so we thought why not try it?
It’s our first time and figured this cafe has very aesthetic interiors! The walls were of what looked like upcycled wood, they got nice furniture and although it was tight, they somehow had placed everything in the right way so customers wouldn’t feel like it was too cramped.
There was only one employee who entertained us coming out of the kitchen, she said her colleagues would arrive in two hours having no other customers at that time, I was sure she would be able to get our orders in no time. We got some Filipino breakfast options. I already forgot how much each plate costs though but I remember this option offers customization of the viands including a cup of coffee which was absolutely good too!!
While waiting for our breakfast, I was able to work because they had a really fast internet connection! If my memory serves me right, it was almost 500 Mbps speed! Awesome right? This is a freelancer’s haven! Our orders were still not served after 30 minutes and I was just being patient because I knew she was the only one cooking. The worst thing happened, some new customers came and she had to get out of the kitchen and entertain them which meant making our order take a lot longer!
Finally, our orders arrived after another 20 minutes. It was all good! We enjoyed breakfast and taking photos at this nice aesthetically pleasing cafe which has a lounge too which was my little one’s preferred spot while we were there.
So if you pass by Escario and need good internet speed! Don’t hesitate to come by Island Tea Co!
