This post is all about our dinner at an eat-all-you-can hotpot in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, welcome to Beef Bang Hotpot! This dinner was sponsored by Arcanys. Side note, back on the first 5-Year Club international trip in Taiwan, we had hotpot every morning, and from then on, all our free dinner treats were hotpots!
From The Peak, we went back to the hotel around 7:30 PM so we can still rest a bit before heading to dinner. This dinner was a bit late, scheduled at nine in the evening. Actually, there was another option but it was very early at 5 PM. We were after the golden hour at Victoria Peak so we decided to grab the 9 PM schedule instead.
When we arrived at the Central metro station, we stopped by the garden and saw an opportunity to take a long exposure shot but we were so tired of setting up our tripod and the camera, plus Matti was sleeping, so we just used a phone, it was still a nice shot though, you think so?
We had an hour to rest and head to Beef Bang Hotpot which was just located 3 minutes walking distance from our hotel. We arrived just in time, the restaurant is on the 2nd floor though, there was a waiting time and some of our companions already got their tables, we were assigned to the table on the farthest corner, a circular table by the way.
This was an unlimited hotpot which means, all meat and other raw ingredients will be unlimited except for seafood and the iced tea drinks. We were very happy about this because back in Singapore, we were given a specific budget although that budget was more than enough, but this time around, it's unlimited!
The room was not too big but they managed to set it up where tables were scattered neatly around with rectangle, circular, and square tables were positioned well. The raw ingredients, such as meat and vegetables, were all displayed as well on a shelf near the entrance.
We sat at our table at 9 PM and were instructed that they would be open until 10:30 PM so we had an hour and a half. We were given a QR code to order the meat. I couldn't remember the link but it has all the meat with pictures, seafood can also be ordered there but that's not part of the So we didn't waste any time, we chose all meat available on the menu, there was even a Wagyu option, we also went to the raw ingredients section and got a lot of the options like the leafy ones, there were frozen meatballs, squid balls, corn, noodles, mushroom, and a lot more.
Aside from raw ingredients, they also offer unlimited side dishes and some desserts too. I was surprised that there was like a rolled bread and it was delicious especially when dipped into the sauce. Speaking of sauce, they have a huge option of sauce ingredients too just like that in Singapore. I just hoped that there was a guide on how to make such and such but it's fine, the sauce that I made from random ones on the option tasted good which was a surprise considering that I didn't really know if I was doing it right. I remember adding sesame oil, some chilis, soy sauce, onions, scallions, some red paste that I can't recall the name and a lot more!
Our selected broth bases were the one spicy and the normal one, I didn't try the other soup as it was far from my seat so I just had the spicy option but it wasn't that spicy, it was just okay so I had no issues, I dislike having too spicy food.
I have a video here for you to watch too:
It's good that we were seated next to our college friends, we had a lot of fun dumping all the ingredients we got into the hot pot. My husband requested rice but when I went back to the area, there was no more rice left, I had to inform the staff about it. My little one actually slept during the whole time until it was almost time to go home.
But when one of our table-mates got her ice cream, I decided to get too for Matti. This is by the way Häagen-Dazs ice cream and it's eat all you can too! I was amazed, I had to get more! The ice cream was super delicious, we tried so many flavors but then after a few rounds, we noticed more were getting and the line became long, so we had to wait for a while to get our last serving.
Matti enjoyed his vanilla Häagen-Dazs ice cream! He was really happy!
And about the drinks, it's also unlimited, they have a tall display of drinks ranging from sodas to iced tea, some beers, and a lot more. We just have to avoid the milk teas because they were not included in the eat-all-you-can package.
Here's our table! My husband's colleagues were really cool, they were also very considerate with us that they didn't let us set where the smoke goes as Matti was with us. Thanks a lot, guys, and thanks once again to Arcanys for this dinner treat!
I am happy that we were able to experience this kind of meal in Hong Kong, the rate here is 399 Hong Kong Dollars, approximately PHP 3000 per head!
Thanks for reading!
