I can't remember the last time I did this so this unexpected opportunity is definitely a blessing to me.
Currently, my little family of three is in Oslob, in my husband's home town after being stranded on the island because our condo unit was robbed and only our air conditioner was left out of all the stuff we had in the condo which made us really devastated because our plan was to stay in our unit for weeks but then, life had surprises and so we decided to go to Oslob instead.
So today is our last day in town, we are going back to Bohol tomorrow and we decided to go check the beach. Over the past few days, the sea has been rough and it's impossible to swim but today was different. It was beautiful, we didn't plan on waking up early but all of us got up at six in the morning, a perfect time to check the shoreline.
There were still waves but it was better. My niece, Zia, and son, Matti enjoyed playing with the sand. Oslob's public beaches here are mostly like this, pebbles are greater in number than the fine sand so we really have to look for a spot.
As I was in the water floating after my son said he had enough of the water, something flashed in my mind and that's earthing! I hadn't done this for a loooong time so I got out of the water, took my slippers off, and started walking on the pebbly part of the shoreline. I was surprised how my feet felt pain right as I was stepping into the pebbles. I almost couldn't stand but I endured it and started walking. I felt like it was really hurting my feet so I moved to the sandy part of the beach instead, this was better.
After a few minutes of walking back and forth, I went to the rocky part and then finally to the pebbly part again, The pebbles looked really nice, sparkling as the rays of the sun reflected into them and the waves crashed into the shore. I asked my husband to take photos of me too as he was testing a new lens, he did take photos of the kids as they were playing in the sand and the locals helping the fishermen coming ashore.
I super appreciate this earthing time! I was definitely glad we went to the beach today! I heard the beach has a lot of negative ions which are good for the health. I guess that's why it changes our mood when we are in nature!
