It's a throwback travel because we can't go out just yet or travel somewhere out of the province, we do have plans of going to Cebu next week and I hope that will pursue. But for today, I would like to share some snaps I took when we went to the Ifugao Mountain Province, specifically in Bangan and Batad, two of the five rice terraces clusters of Ifugao.

These are parts of the UNESCO world heritage site and one of which I had been wanting to visit personally.

It was February of 2017 when my husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary and decided to spend three nights in Batad and Sagada.

A house in a blind curved cliff! I can't imagine living in this house. For sure the view would be great but you'll always think of the vehicles passing by, hopefully no one had bumped into this home yet.

The Bangaan Rice Terraces, the locals were already done planting their rice seedlings and so the fields were filled with green.

Bangaan and Batad are two different locations. Our trike driver had offered to bring us to Bangan, we only thought of visiting Batad so seeing another cluster was a plus!

Upon arriving at the Batad community, checking in at our guest house and finding a tour guide, we headed to a walking tour around the community, we even went climbing the almost vertical staircase of Batad to reach the top view point.

This is one great amphitheater of rice terraces. Batad is the best of five clusters and I recommend visiting it!

Some more pictures of the view. The locals here had already upgraded their houses from the traditional ones to the common modern ones with tin roofs. Still, the traditional houses are still visible but most of them are now just used for storage.

Feeling of fulfillment as my husband and I reached the top view point in one piece, almost catching our breaths but the view was more breath taking!

We might go back and plan it better so that the rice terraces are all filled with almost ready to harvest rice plants!
