Hello #Hive monochromatic friends!... Welcome to a new edition of my series of black and white street photography... This week I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the route of a popular celebration happening in the streets of my town, which aimed to celebrate "Saint John Baptist's day"... Those of you who follow my content blog (thanks for that guys) will have seen my posts this week with photos from this event. The photos I bring today to share with you in this post are also taken during the celebration, but these photos have in common that are scenes happening on the fringes of the festive activities. So, in these photos you can see people simply watching from afar what was happening there... So let's go for these photos!... ;)

¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive!... Bienvenidos a una nueva edición de mis series de fotografías callejeras en blanco y negro... Esta semana tuve la oportunidad de sumergirme en el recorrido de una celebración popular llevada a cabo en las calles de mi pueblo, la cual tenía por objetivo celebrar el "día de San Juan Bautista"... Aquellos de ustedes quienes siguen mi blog de contenido (gracias por eso chicos) habrán visto mis publicaciones de esta semana con fotografías de este evento. Las fotos que traigo hoy para compartir con ustedes en esta publicación, también fueron hechas durante esa celebración, pero estas fotos tienen común el tratarse de escenas sucediendo al margen de las actividades festivas. Entonces, en estas fotos se pueden observar a personas simplemente mirando desde lejos lo que allí ocurría... ¡Vamos entonces a por estas fotos!... ;)

In these streets where usually "nothing new happens" people in general, adults and children are happy and curious when something out of the ordinary happens... So it's a lovely thing for someone like me, who is passionate about street photography, to be able to observe those scenes with people watching all those people and to be able to record them with my camera... I have to confess that this day was greatly enjoyable for me and I had a lot of fun taking hundreds of pictures...

En estas calles donde usualmente "no sucede nada nuevo" las personas en general, adultos y chicos, se alegran y se vuelven curiosos cuando algo fuera de lo normal ocurre... Entonces es algo encantador para alguien como yo, a quien la fotografía callejera apasiona, poder observar esas escenas con personas observando todo aquellos y poder registrarlos con mi cámara... Tengo que confesar que ese día fue grandemente agradable para mi y me divertí a montones haciendo cientos de fotografías...

Lately the town has been "deeper in poverty", the local economy has contracted even more and I myself have witnessed that some people cannot afford to eat three meals a day. So there is a lot of unemployment among the villagers, which translates into quite dramatic street scenes, although celebrations like the one on that day can create a brief space of joy amidst the deprivation in the popular areas... So behind these photos there is more social complexity than one might think...

Últimamente el pueblo ha estado "más sumergido en la pobreza", la economía local se ha contraído aún más y yo mismo he sido testigo de que algunas personas no tienen capacidad económica para comer tres veces al día. Así que hay mucha desocupación entre los pobladores, eso se traduce en escenas callejeras bastante dramáticas, aunque celebraciones como la de ese día pueden crear un breve espacio de alegría en medio de las carencias en las zonas populares... Así que detrás de estas fotos hay más complejidad social de la que puede pensarse...

_{ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}

_{NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
