A Walk at Dusk in Athens, Greece.

Hello Friends.

I find that going for walks is a great way for me to unwind. It's a great way to get some fresh air, and it's also a great way to clear my head. I often find myself thinking more clearly after a walk.

While I love the peacefulness of walking, it's the taking of photos that really makes the experience enjoyable for me. Every time I see a beautiful scene, I can't help but take a picture. Sometimes it's nice to just take a break from the world and enjoy the surroundings without having to document them. But for the most part, it's the photos that help me really appreciate the view. In a lot of ways, to capture the moment and the experience. It really helps me to appreciate the world around me and to enjoy the experience more.

Street art, sunsets, cats…. They’re all nice to document in pictures. But sometimes it’s just as nice to document life without a camera. To document the feeling of the sun on your skin, the sound of a cat’s purr, or the smell of street art. There’s something special about living in the moment and not always worrying about taking a picture. Sure, pictures are great to look back on and reminisce, but there’s something to be said about living in the present.

That is why walking along with capturing pictures, seems to make the most sense for me. It is the perfect blend of being in the moment, being creative, and getting some fresh air.

Most of my posts are about these experiences. Going on a long walk, or hiking some place. I do truly hope you enjoy the posts here and find them filling you with a sense of joy, as they do for me as well. :)

The following photos were taken in Athens, Greece, on such a walk the other evening.

Street art is one of my favorite things in the world, but I also hate it. I love the way it can make a boring, grey cityscape come to life. I love the way it can make you feel like you're part of a secret club, and I love the way it can make you see the world in a new way. But I also hate the way it can be so, so messy. I hate the way it can be so hard to clean up, and I hate the way it can be so hard to understand. But despite all of that, I can't help but love street art.

If you're ever feeling uninspired, take a walk down any street in any city and take a look at the walls. From taggers to street artists, people have been using public walls as a canvas for their creativity for centuries. This work is a bit confusing, but executed well. :)

Many people think that creativity and branding are two different things, but I think they go hand in hand. You can't be creative without branding, and you can't have a successful brand without creativity. So, I wonder if its branding or just creativity here...

Though they were never able to be together in life, in death they are finally together. They found each other in the otherworld, and now they are inseparable. They spend their days holding each other and telling each other how much they love each other. They are happy now, and they never thought they would be. Perhaps that is what the next photo depicting?

Hrmmm... To go off on a rant for a second...

Skulls have always been a part of our lives. From cave paintings to modern day tattoos, they always manage to capture our attention. But why is that? What is it about these simple drawings of bones that manages to draw us in? Some say it's because skulls remind us of our own mortality. That we all must die one day and that these simple drawings are a reminder of that. But others say that it's because skulls are a representation of power. That they are a symbol of strength and determination. Whatever the reason, it's undeniable that skulls have a certain appeal that manages to draw us in.

When in Athens, this pile of history dominants the landscape. Lol, before I arrived, I looked at places that listed being able to see the Acropolis as a selling point, but, like 90% of the city can see it. Hahaha

Sunsets down long, back sleepy streets at dusk.

Many people have seen the mysterious stairs in the core of the city, but no one knows where they lead. Some say they lead up to a secret society, while others believe they're a portal to another world. What secrets do these stairs hold?

Parts of the old city are crumbling away, left forgotten by the owners, left to fend for themselves as nature comes home to roost.

Too many streets to walk in one night or in one life, paths that lead to new places, new sights, songs, and adventures.

And cats... always cats... Greece has a lot of cats... every place, cats... it is not a city of humans anymore, it is a city of cats. FOR REAL!

Walks are a time to see the world with different eyes and to open the mind to new thoughts and experiences. They are also a time to reflect on the day's events and to plan for the future. Walking in nature is a way to connect with the earth and to feel grounded. Long walks help to clear the mind and increase energy levels. They are a time to relax and feel good.

As always, thanks for joining me today on this walking adventure on the streets of Athens, Greece at dusk. Come back tomorrow for another adventure. :)

Cheers
