do you guys know about this anime? who wouldn't be drawn in by that lovable character taking center stage? she is just so adorable and that was how i fell in love with the anime series. to me surprise, this anime took center stage as the main exhibit in anime tokyo station in ikebukuro one drizzling day.
we were in the area for a cosplay event, but we were still a bit early. strolling around to kill time, we happened to pass by this exhibit. entrance was free! that was music to my ears. all that was left to do was enter and enjoy what was on display.
this building was a known location for anime lovers, that overhang display of popular anime series was already a joy to see. they had pin making sessions on the ground floor, and some anime creation process at the underground level. the level of difficulty in creating one anime sequence was clearly expressed by the multiple frames drawn, so how much more is drawn just for an episode? so i give all praises to those working in this industry.

back to the main exhibit, spy family! well no story spoilers from me this time. no anime review, too. i am just here to enjoy the displays.
this family is so fun to watch, the series is action filled. let me talk a little about each character. meet the forgers!

here is the father, loid. a spy! he initially adopted a young girl as a coverup for his underground job. he also hired a wife to complete the family.
and here is the adopted girl, anya. she reads minds, so she knows what her family is hiding. no secret is hidden from her.

and the hired wife, yor. she is a secret assassin by profession, but tries hard to be a perfect mother for anya.
and the dog, bond, who loves anya. well, everyone in this family loves anya, the glue which holds this made up family together. the parents do not know of each other's hidden jobs, but anya knows it all.
as these stand-ups are in their real heights, yor and i are about the same height while loid is a giant.
the school where anya studies is also filled with sons and daughters of nothing but the most important personalities in the country. it is a very exclusive school targeted by the spies of the series.

here are some of the schoolmates, that one in the middle is the son of a very prominent family. anya has to win the hearts of her classmates and gather info for her family at times.

here is yor's brother, very protective of his sister. and this lady is a spymate of loid. the series is filled with spies and assassins, but also filled with so much love for the adopted daughter, anya.

no anime series is complete without any opening and ending music, and this series happened to have some of the best music around. try to have a listen.
the last part of the exhibition were the message boards from the fans who came. and since we are in japan, the land of anime, fans are also nothing but artists of their own right. here are some of the cute ones posted.

we went out the exhibit with a different view of that "chandelier". this was such a beautiful experience.
