Kasadya sa SRP Fireworks Hand-held Long Exposure Photography in Cebu, Philippines

Hi, ASEAN Hive community! This time I am showing you my photos taken in December 2013. I lost the original photos but I was able to publish this on my Facebook account.

All photos were edited on Adobe Lightroom as most photos were underexposed. I intentionally made it underexposed to enhance the brightness, hue, saturation, and vibrancy.

Kasadya sa SRP is a carnival fair that happens in Cebu City during the last quarter of the year, especially during the Christmas season, and will last until January next year for the Sinulog festival. SRP stands for South Road Properties, a reclaimed area in Cebu City.

We were surprised that there were fireworks so I tried to capture the fireworks even without a tripod. I went to the nearest car, I tried to hold my breath and pushed the button.

The photos I took I think were just pure luck. I wasn't expecting to have beautiful photos of the fireworks and the lights of the carnival fair.

Somehow, I felt the photos were festive enough so I decided to upload them on my FB for memories.

I have a few favorites of these photos, especially when I took a snapshot of the fireworks at the right time. I consider this one.

Another favorite as well, I took the practice of doing fireworks photography because I was planning to go to Hong Kong Disneyland and take photos of the fireworks.

I forgot to remove the UV filter of the 18-55 mm lens but I love the effect.

Another favorite, using this as a photography portfolio. It really made me feel like a legit professional photographer. Hahaha!

If only I brought my tripod with me, it could have been better. But I still managed to take nice photos while holding my breath. Haha!
