Hello and welcome to all travellers.
Day 3, i woke up a little late. Everyone was already downstairs having their breakfast. I joined them after 20 minutes. A quick breakfast and then we all went back to our rooms to collect our luggage as we were checking out.
After completing the checkout and clearing all the dues. we headed out towards Gamti mountain (Lake Bovilla trail).
The initial drive was smooth. But then we had to cross 12km of unpaved road, a bit bumpy but manageable i guess.
At one point, we parked our cars and hiked the hill to reach the advantage point as the view was great from there.
The climb was stepper and a bit too much for me, but we reached at the top. Once we were there, i did not go anywhere.
Others, did continue further on to higher point and took some photos. They even climbed the steep rocks which was scary and took photos. I guess i was more worried about how i would walk back down.
We were there on the top for almost 2 hours and then came the point to go down. I had my worries, but the encouragement and support of my friends help me overcome my fear.
After that, we walked down the hill to the place where our cars were parked.
Our flights to UK where from Tirana. we started our journey back. The flights were in the late evening, we still had time to kill. So once we reached Tirana we went to the square, walked around and also had our lunch. Yes it was pizza :-)
Finally, we went to the airport, returned the rented cars and waited for our flights. Had a beer while waiting.
Flight was a bit delayed and we reached stanstead airport just before midnight. Though customs was electronic clearance, the lines were pretty long.
The rented cab was there to pick us up from the airport. It took us another 2.5 hours to reach home. Tired, but it was a good fun trip.
